    Current cope is that the last two years started with opening season wins that looked dominant before our season fell off a cliff. I’m hoping Quin’s just trying to reverse that mojo and have us look like shit before we spend the rest of the season looking dominant

  13. People now using Hunter as a scapegoat. Last year yall used Nate and John Collins. And this year is Hunter. It’s never Trae Young’s fault. It is always someone else.

    Also, I really do hope we let Lundy out when we need him…cos he can make shots. But, guess we prob don’t wanna rely on someone fresh off the bench in a crucial moment either.

  18. People will talk about our backcourt, but I was annoyed more with our rebounding and post defense. Okongwu cannot be our Center Of The Future if he’s getting out-rebounded and fouling so frequently. I love Big O, but on nights like this, I wish we had traded up in past two drafts for a traditional center like Mark Williams or Lively.

    Trae’s shooting was atrocious but even on shit shooting nights, you can always expect our free throw merchant to get 12-14 free throws. Bogi and Murray also shot poorly. That will change.

    Hunter has been godawful. Jalen was refreshing change of pace. A wing that can pass??? Yeah buddy. Also, little sad how quiet AJ has been of late.

    I’d like for us to not be shit during third quarters.

    Snyder’s system takes a little while to adjust to, so I’ll give them a few months worth of patience.

  24. Trae and DJM were horrible. Not how I expected but it’s only one game but they fell back into old habits bad. I honestly can’t remember any off ball movement from them I saw in preseason.

    JJ, Bey, Capela really had solid games tonight. Really only players who stood out.

  37. Shit game, but it is what we’ve come to expect against the Hornets. Hopefully that will be our worst shooting night of the season. But it is really is painful to see Bey and JJ each make more impact plays than we see from Hunter in a week.

  38. The Good:

    – Jalen Johnson

    – Transition game is soooo good

    – Saddiq Bey is a machine

    – Defense better than expected

    – Playmaking potential is skyhigh with OO, JJ and Trae on the floor

    The Bad:

    – Rusty

    – Ball movement could be better

    – PnRs where?

    – Offense looked a bit lost at times

    – 3PT not falling but the attempts are there

    – No Lauren Jbara

    Long season ahead. Plenty of time for the team to gel and for Quin to mix and match lineups. My fave would be the Trae-JJ-Hunter-Bey-OO lineup which we didn’t see a whole lot of. I have a feeling this could’ve been the closing lineup if OO didn’t get into foul trouble early

  39. Definitely agree w others that when things got tight everyone reverted to quick iso ball shots. When shit gets close you go to what you know . We have a lot of work to erase so many bad habits we developed under Nate . There was no ball movement late .

    But despite all that when your starting back court plays that poorly you will lose most games .

  41. On a positive note Jalen Brunson hit straight backboard on two consecutive 3PT attempts to lose against the Celtics. Cheer up.

  42. Stop stressing about proven stars in this league Dejountrae will be just fine. We should be hyped that the unknown quantity that is Jalen Johnson is looking great. If jalen turns into a, stud we’re going to be a problem this season.

  45. I’m following the until December rule bc it is a new system but I’m hoping Quin realizes the way forward is with JJ and oo in the lineup as well as the players not resorting to iso ball when shots aren’t falling
