Remember when we wanted Josh to get a sports psychologist because he looked like he was inside his own head and depressed after the Jets debacle?

Josh claims this low positive thing was his idea and he spoke with someone else about it. Also said he started trying it after the 2nd game (Raiders).

Not sure I’m buying some of this. Against Washington he was old Josh and even did some prankish mocking of Commanders fans in the end zone after his TD run. I was at the Miami game 8 rows up and he was having a great time on the sidelines, and celebrating great plays and TDs, including the Miami “confused” emoji mock for the cameras after his TD run. These don’t look like low positive Josh games.

But the Jags, Giants, Pats games certainly look 180 degrees different, at least for the first 3+ quarters. Then it’s high octane.

Bills coaches may be disciplined techno-geniuses (may be) but they most definitely are not effective managers of their players energy and emotions and apparently aren’t getting them pumped up pregame. It’s more than just Xs and Os. McD is a low positive guy and that doesn’t translate to players. Humble and hungry? We are depressed and starving.

If I were McD I would get Allen and Dorsey alone in a room and tell them the offense is going to have to carry this team the rest of the way. ’d tell Allen he’s a great QB and he needs to be a leader. I’d tell Dorsey to work with Allen and scheme together and that I expect results. Then I’d leave the room.

What do I know. It could be as simple as Allen loving his teammates so much that he’s become depressed watching Tre, Milano, Jones, Knox etc go out with injuries?Or his Hollywood girlfriend dumped him? But it’s up to the coaches to figure it out and get Josh back to himself. Diggs can only do so much.

Sorry for the rant. I edited it a 100 times. Just love the Bills, love Allen, love Diggs. Just want them to have fun playing the game they all claim to love. Let’s kick some ass tonight!

  1. Someone got into this guy’s head and gave him the yips. He needs to have a “Fuck you, Jobu. I do it myself.” type of moment.

  2. Is there an actual link to this quote rather than some random picture with text that could of been made by any idiot?

  3. I agree so much with the McDermott take. We need a coach with some flipping fire. The only game we’ve played with any juice this year was the Miami game and we dismantled them for 60 mins. They start so flat and don’t show any urgency until late in games. McDermott needs to break out of his church boy mentality and get his piss hot as the coaches say. The goal should be 40 every game and this offense is more than capable of that.

  4. By low does he mean calm? Because it sounds like he means that. Low doesn’t sound like the head space he actually wants to be in

  5. I’ve stated before I miss the Josh before became a star. He had a chip on his shoulder and it showed on the field. If he had Diggs personality and fire he’d be a force of nature.

  6. It’s so weird that we’ve never had to do this with any qb before. I never read anything breaking down Fitzpatricks emotional state or Tyrod Taylor’s. Dude is now a 5 year vet in this league, we should be past all this shit. You played two of the best playoff games in history, just do that again.

  7. Breaking up with his gf in the off-season and dating a Hollywood star seemed like a concern that he was getting high on his own supply.

  8. Josh, just put your massive balls back in that True Temper wheelbarrow and roll on. Stop letting everyone step all over them.

  9. My extremely well researched solution is we need to get Josh back together with Britt.

  10. If we have to watch this team lose I would 100% rather see them lose with Josh playing hero ball and being a freak versus being a sad boi.

  11. Which Josh had an epic duel in the AFC Championship? Which one made him the superstar, cover-of-Madden player he is now? The one that had fun and played HIS game without limitations. They’re now asking him to limit the way he plays, mainly with the lack of running… but that’s not how he’s always played.

When we do what we love, how we love to do it, it gives us energy. That’s not just a saying.. it can literally feel like an IV drip of jet fuel. Josh is having fun when they’re doing well, but he looks to me like he’s struggling because he’s spending too much thought on what NOT to do as much. It sounds like this ‘low positive’ might be more of him trying to adjust to operating from a point of lowered energy, since he’s not doing what he loves… HOW he loves to do it.

I might also be pulling all of this outta my ass. Who knows.

    GO BILLS!!! ![img](emote|t5_2ra29|6279)

  12. i do seem to remember that on the TD he threw to diggs last week (can’t remember if it was the go ahead score or not) josh just immediately walked off the field to sit on the sideline. no celebration, no emotion at all. found that strange

  13. What’s behind the sluggish start is Josh Allen we all love the guy but he has to be held accountable for continuing to not take the easy throws Shakur was open on the goal line he refused to throw it Cook it seems is always open underneath over the middle he refuses to throw to him.
