Scoot Postgame Interview

  1. Looking forward to him getting into his comfort zone on the court. He literally made every wrong play possible— on both ends. But a lot of it was just basic stuff that we know he can correct.

  2. Reminder LAC is one of the best perimeter defending teams in the league, if not just all around defensively. They played a lineup that was also just months ago competing in the playoffs. They had the synergy and the skill. Scoot is human, and that’s a daunting task for any rookie.

This is honestly best case for us and scoot to get absolutely smoked this game so as not to get the wrong idea that the league is easy. I seem to remember a certain PG that was always playing with a chip on his shoulder turning out pretty solid.

  3. You could tell when he took the first possession and boosted across court that nerves were there. He’ll settle in. The game eventually slows down. He was trying to do it all at once and admittedly some of us have put that expectation on him, especially once Dame left. You can tell he wants to be that guy. He’s eager to make a name for himself. It’ll happen. He’s far too talented and level headed for it not to.
