Economics of baseball really suck. If this was the NFL or the NBA, there is no chance they wouldn’t lock him down. I still think they do, but he’s gonna command big dollars. The worst outcome would be to sign him for big money and have him either underperform or get hurt. Not only would that cripple the Brewers, but also causes the fan base to turn on a guy. Woodruff really seems like a solid dude. He deserves to be compensated and play for a winner.
