  1. #ATLANTA FALCONS:

    Scrimmage Team For Life.

Some teams are just built up enough to help other teams get dialed in.

    Accept it.

  2. this loss was directly on player evaluations. Mike Hughes did nothing to earn that PR spot. When you have struggled to score points, that is a prime opportunity to find a explosive player and they instead chose to play safe with a guy who looks lost.

I am glad Arthur is actively making changes now but you cannot go back to Ridder after you saw how your offense played under the replacement. Should be a fun week.

  3. Can’t wait to hear in the post game how we are only mad we didn’t win the game because of fantasy football

  4. yall dont know how QB controversies work? Arthur is stubborn but when Ridder went out the job was available and Taylor took it. now Arthur can save face and bench Ridder because of *Taylor’s* performance instead of outright indicting Ridder.

  5. I’m not sure I want to watch next week, this loss fucking sucked. Especially after last weeks horrible win and the week before the horrible loss

  6. Heineke looks like a winner and Ridder just looks like garbage!!! Can’t believe we lost this one

  7. now does Heinicke get QB1 reps this week or does AS come out and say Ridder is still the starter, will still be getting primary reps, will still be starting next week?

  8. Big talking heads on Twitter already saying Ridder should be back in there next week. His only points came when the defense gave him the ball in FG range. Heinicke actually moved the ball, didn’t take unnecessary sacks and didn’t cough up the ball. It’s clear who the starter needs to be. God help this fanbase.

  9. Watch Levis get abused next week against Pittsburgh and put up pedestrian numbers like most will expect him to.

Atlanta Falcons and making rookie QBs look like all time greats is a fucking tale as old as time.

Fuck that loss pisses me off. I fucking hate losing to rookie QBs. Thought we were finally in a spot where that wouldn’t happen again but nope.

  10. TH looked very good and should be QB1. Of course, knowing this franchise, I wouldn’t be surprised if he stinks it up as well after giving us hope.

Separately, Dalman needs to learn how to snap and McGary needs to suck less. And hopefully we can get #8 a few touches each game…

  11. Couldn’t watch the game and I see everyone here praising heinicke which makes me happy, but I see he went 12-21 which is not that great…

For ppl who watched, how did he look? Stats obviously don’t tell the whole picture so curious to see what were the good aspects when he was playing

  12. We won because ridder got benched. Now we just need for AS to get shit canned and our season will be complete.

  13. Losing 3 starters, 2 of them being your best lineman on defense will get this result. Heineke should start going forward. If we started him the whole game and the injuries don’t happen this isn’t a close game. The refs were on some absolute horseshit calling today also. We can still make a run this season if our guys come back healthy and Heineke starts.

  14. was that last pass the best pass TH has ever thrown? no. was it the most accurate pass he’s ever thrown? no.

but damn it hit jefferson in the hands. he’s getting paid $$$$ to catch balls for a living, would have been cool and lit for him to catch that one.

  15. Arthur Smith on replacing Desmond Ridder with Taylor Heinicke:

“We’ve got a lot of confidence in Des. We didn’t take him out for performance issues.”

    hmmm…

  16. Missed OPI off rip threw off all momentum and I guess heinicke has proven that ridder was holding this team back. We just couldn’t stay on the field and our defense was exhausted. I wish ridder was better because he’s a good guy but it’s just not working.

  17. Top 5 defense with no pass rush was going to get exposed eventually. Too bad it was rookie QB that did it. Good news it’s just one bad game. On to the Vikings.

  18. London and Pitts were limited, Van Jefferson had the chance to prove he was worth the trade and he failed spectacularly. Mack Hollins is mid as hell and he stepped up, the hell is Van Jeffersons excuse?!

Heinicke is the future, at least through this season, we cannot seriously go back to Ridder after that Heinicke performance…

  19. Ridder is not improving and is not our guy. Taylor played a great half, but long term, he ain’t it either. This team is not built to compete with the top of the NFC so…see y’all next week with the hopes that we don’t end up with a terrible draft position.

  20. Today we got better. I know there are no morale victorious in the NFL but I’ll take it.

  21. More positives from this loss than the win vs Tampa.

If Ridder returns at home. Smith is asking to be on the hot seat.

  22. Looking at this, we were expecting TH to get 21 in last quarter. I feel he did incredibly well with 2TDs

  23. We gave them free momentum by not punching it in when they gave us the ball in the red zone to start out the game. I blame Arthur Smith dialing up the Jonnu Smith pass play – wtf was he thinking

  24. watching the clip of Arthur talking about the QB situation and he mentions it not being about performance. Except that Ridder was cleared to come back in. I’m hopeful he just didn’t want to tear down his QB, but he knows who looked far better in that offense.

  25. This loss only works if Taylor if the QB going forward. If we trot out Ridder next week, then it was a waste of time.

  26. I expect to see Ridder start next week, but if he gets sacked or turns the ball over, back on the bench.

  27. I think this was Ryan Tannehills last game as a starting QB for the titans. Probably the same for Ridder if AS is not stubborn.

  28. The good news: TH was on pace for 350 yards passing, 4 TD’s and the offense on pace for a 40 burger. He clearly had better chemistry with the 2nd string receivers he throws to in practice.

The bad news: this defense was cheeks without Grady & Calais….and hopefully it’s no concussion for Drake.

All in all, so long as we move forward with TH, today was a +1 despite being an L in the standings. Sometimes you must take a step back to move forward.

  29. my final thought of the week. QBs much better than Ridder have been benched after leaving a game and getting outperformed by QB2. we have a real shot at making the playoffs. if AS trots out Ridder next week he will officially be booking his ticket out of Atlanta in my book.

  30. See yall next week. One day we will be a good team and all of this will be behind us. But until then, I wanna die.

  31. Looks like Will Levis was even worth a look in the second round for us by moving up…

Dude has always had a big arm and mobility.

I like TH but he isn’t a franchise QB, he’s a stop gap.

Will Levis can be a franchise QB.

That hope is important for a franchise, to avoid QB purgatory.

  32. The best thing to me is that we will go to the more Matt Ryan style offense we ran in 2020 bc the QB keep game we ran with Des is not really working . Expect a more open playbook
