Jordan Love today…

Jordan Love today…

  1. It is genuinely shocking people can watch a ball hit a receiver square in the hands and then blame Love when it’s dropped.

  2. I feel pretty vindicated. All week I’ve been arguing with people trying to pass judgement on Love and I’ve been saying that a lot of what makes him look bad is the receivers. Now he basically shows it without a shadow of a doubt by putting the ball directly in the receivers hands.

And of course over half the comments are still about either Rodgers, Clifford, tanking for Caleb Williams, or just simply blaming Love. Ya Love needs work but he’s like the 4th or 5th down the list at best, he shouldn’t be the number one complaint

  3. * Jones: drops an easy checkdown for a would-be first down
    * Musgrave: fails to catch the next pass for a would-be first down, defender contested but still should be caught
    * Doubs: drops a wide open sideline pass that ball placement made a bit tougher than it needed to be, but still hit him in both hands with both feet down in bounds
    * Reed: loses a 30+ yards gain that hit him in the numbers and turns it into a pick
    * Wicks: drops a wide open slant for a RZ first down
    * Watson: fails to come back to one end zone jump ball to force a DPI, fails to catch the next end zone jump ball that he gets both hands on
    * Dillon: no problems in the pass game that I saw, but would be nice if he could convert some of these runs up the middle in short yardage (that the line can absolutely not win their blocks on)

I’d say that Kraft, Sims, Deguara, Wilson, and Heath didn’t get a chance to really screw up today. Otherwise that just about covers every offensive skill player.

  4. Jordan has definitely made some things harder on himself this season but he seemed to be much more comfortable today and got absolutely no help. It wasn’t perfect, but it was one step forward, two steps back all day long. Penalties. Drops. Getting into long yardage to force passes. Just awful. And Jordan is the guy standing at the podium.

He ain’t perfect. He’s definitely got work to do. But he’s not the problem with this offense.

  5. Yes there were several drops, but love also threw several horrible passes, especially in the red zone. We can blame everyone

  6. Love is still missing his deep balls either over their heads or making the receiver slow down and push into the defender with a large INT chance. Some throws are spot on and should be caught yes, especially today… but he’s all over the place too often.

  7. Rodgers couldn’t do shit with this team last year and yall expect Love to do it with a SHITTIER Oline??? GTFO!

  8. I am 100% on the side of “Let Love have the full season to evaluate him” and have been pretty annoyed with the non-stop Love bashing that goes on here and basically everywhere else by some Packers fans, but I really hope his accuracy improves the rest of the year. Yes he isn’t getting much help, but there are way too many throws per game that are way off target. I’m not talking about throws like the interception to Reed, or the drops by Jones or Musgrave. I am talking about the throws like the one to Watson up the sideline where he was wide open, or the short hopper to Doubs, who was open, the throw in the flats to Reed, etc.

  9. 100%. Jordan had some miscues for sure, but all in all dude did everything he could possibly do. I hope Clements reassures him of that
