I’ve learned two things about Kyle over the past 7 years.
When things are going well, it’s all because of him and his genius coaching
When things are not going well, it’s not because of him at all
And this isn’t just stat of having bad qbs. Jimmy G has won two games THIS YEAR with the Raiders entering the fourth quarter trailing by 3. 13-10 both times to Denver and Green Bay, he won both. Zach Wilson has come back in two straight games when trailing by 3+ in the fourth to win both. We have an issue when we are losing games with this coaching staff by an amount that should be easily overcome, it’s a fucking field goal man how are we 1-31.
I hate to say it, but you’re not going to win the biggest games with that kind of issue. You won’t beat the best teams in the league if you can’t make a comeback. You simply aren’t going to steamroll everyone.
It’s a learning curve for Purdy, but Kyle will take no responsibility in his shitty play calling at times.
Increasingly feels like this is a Kyle stat and not a Jimmy G stat.
Whatβs the median benchmark for coaches on this stat I wonder? Going into a fourth quarter 8+ points average and the 3+ points average – curious how he stacks up against his peers.
The buck stops with Kyle Shanahan. This is his team, from top to bottom, and if we’re not playing up to expectations, and we’re definitely not right now, it’s his responsibility to fix it, one way or another.
Kyle looks lost when the plan doesn’t work.
Is it his offensive style, too predicated on the run makes it hard for comebacks?? Idk I’m dumb π€π€
I am curious to see that stat from other prominent coaches.
His play calling was extra predictable yesterday. Wilks looks like heβs calling the same plays 95% of the time.
The other piece is heβs also susceptible to blowing leads in the 4th quarters of the biggest games, two of which were in the Super Bowl.
Quite the conundrum. Shanahan is way too good to part with and maybe just not good enough to win it all.
TIL Kyle can’t win when he’s losing. /s
1-31 when trailing by 3+?! holy shit this guy is a fucking joke.
Without seeing how other coaches are in this situation itβs hard to tell how terrible this is.
Ya it sucks. People keep saying Philly doesnβt have any impressive wins but they keep winning. Itβs not how you win just that you wins. Seattle too, geno smith lead a winning drive to beat the browns. Bucks stops with kyle
Teams lose when behind. More on this at 6.
He does not have that dawg in him
I knew that game was over at the start of the fourth quarter. You can call me a fake fan all you want, but weβve seen enough of Shanahanβs teams to know their MO. They donβt come back from deficits. They crumble.
Man, thatβs such a bad stat.
Fire him now lol I’m just kidding there isn’t anyone better at the moment
I hate stats like these. There’s of course meaning that *can* be gained from them, but more often it’s just despair porn for us as the losing fan base.
We lost another game and it sucks, but we have a bye week to get healthy and come back to a win against a beatable Jaguars team.
Walk away from the despair porn.
Part of that is the reality of the qb situation. Great QBs make great comebacks. He hasnβt had one.
Anybody broken this down by qb? Because this is sounding like “oh you had a couple lost seasons with Mullens Hoyer Beathard etc, obviously when the team has good qb play and or defence they don’t go into the 4th down 8 often
Really would be curious to see other coaches records in this scenario
I feel like everyone forgets how many games we drop to shit teams every single year
