Clearly Jones Is The Issue

Clearly Jones Is The Issue

  1. And as a reminder the three games without him not only had more possessions because of the incredible defense we’ve played but also all three were with Barkley finally back and against overall lower rated defenses.

  2. Yea, you take out Jones and the offense went from averaging a scintillating 12.4 points per game, to a dismal 11 points per game. Is it too soon to give him even more money?

  3. Too bad the defense plays harder without him. It’s almost like they have hope that they will win.

  4. A stat I’m curious about: time of possession difference between the two quarterbacks. Sustained drives, despite a lack of scoring, could explain some of variability in defensive performance.

  5. Daniel Jones being the best QB on the roster and thinking he’s not the guy moving forward are not mutually exclusive. I would hope that our $40 million QB is better than a journeyman who hasn’t started in years and an undrafted QB

  6. Boy if Daniel Jones somehow lights it up against Vegas man this sub is going to be soooo funny

  7. I would hope that the 40 million dollar QB would get an offensive line and some weapons. Just ridiculous.

  8. Jones is not a franchise QB I’d love to be wrong but franchise QB’s don’t take 6 years to get it. Is he god awful……. No but do we need to do better at the most important position in the game….yes

  9. Enough with the excuses. I get that admitting he isn’t good means admitting that you were wrong about him but it’s time. No one said he is the only problem but he for sure isn’t the solution. Especially at $40m a year.

  10. Was Daniel Jones calling plays during that embarrassing OT 3 and out? Someone said “Yeah, we want the ball, but don’t try to move it or anything” and it wasn’t him.

  11. If Jones is our franchise QB, his health is at risk, we have a historically bad O-line, and the season is for all intents and purposes over, why not just rest him for the rest of the season?

  12. DJ is a stud but I hope we can land Drake Maye. I think he’d be perfect under DaBoll and this offense

  13. Not this again. You guys never give up in saying Jones is not a problem. He is. So is the rest of the offense.

  14. Every single person posting on this subreddit acknowledges that the O-line is terrible and we don’t have a ton of weapons. Thinking Jones is not the long-term answer does not make someone a hater. These strawman arguments are getting ridiculous.

  15. No one was saying Jones was THE issue, but you smooth brains try to obfuscate the argument like Jones is just a passenger, not one of the bus drivers

  16. Fucking lol at all the people coming in here acting like no one straight up trashed DJ for the first 5 weeks.

Your post is funny, people are just upset and trying to downplay just how much this sub shit on him for 5 weeks.

  17. All I ask of DJ haters is to not disappear like all of the Eli haters did. Own it as I will if you’re wrong. I think he’s the guy and I think we’re going to find out in the second half of the season when he for the first time in his career has actual playmakers on offense and a decent offensive line.

  18. I think the NFL record for fewest passing yards in a game yesterday makes this point A LOT more clearly than saying we scored 11 PPG lol

  19. He could be the best qb on the roster and not be our franchise qb, both could be true.

  20. I’m tired of this lack of nuance. Multiple things can be true at once. It is possible for the offense to be complete dogshit and Daniel Jones isn’t the QB if the future and doesn’t have it. It’s not Daniel Jones being completely at fault, it’s not the O line being completely at fault, it’s not the receivers or the coaching completely at fault, it’s a mix of all of it. It all sucks.
