  1. Wow, Dick has been the voice of the Twins my whole life. I’m going to miss listening to him.

  2. This week just keeps getting worse. Thank you for everything Dick. I’ll miss your voice so much

  3. Very sad, but very happy for him. Interested to see who takes the reigns next season.

  4. First Cousins, now this. It’s been a tough week for my tear ducts.

It’s going to be so so so so weird to not hear Dick Bremer call Twins baseball games.

  5. Congratulations on 40 years. I love Dick and will be saddened to hear a different voice next spring 🙁

  6. Wow. I just saw this and was pretty stunned. More than anything, I’m surprised that he didn’t make this announcement before the end of the season, just so he could officially say goodbye on air.

Hopefully since he’s going to stay with the Twins as a “special assistant” he’ll still be popping into the broadcast booth from time to time.

  7. I spend a fair amount of time watching other broadcasts on MLB.tv and it just drives home how much better Dick is than a replacement play by play guy. Hopefully it’s Provus but who knows. We will miss a legend

  8. Damn this hurts but what a cool opportunity for a lifelong Twins die-hard like Dick! Good for him and what a ride it has been. My entire lifetime of Twins baseball has been blessed with Dick Bremer and I am so happy and thankful for that.

On another note, hopefully we promote Provus to TV now and save him from getting sniped by the Cubs one of these years!

  9. GUYS THE TRIBUTE JUSTIN AND TREVOR GAVE TO DICK DURING THE LAST GAME THAT MADE HIM CRY HAS SO MUCH MORE MEANING NOW.

    THEY KNEW.

    😭😭😭

  10. Goddamnit. He’s been the voice of the twins my whole life and I was hoping we’d get another year or two. We’re gonna miss you, Dick.

  11. What a bummer. Bremer is right up there with Vin Scully, Bob Uecker, Jack Buck… among the best in the game. If the next person to fill that role is half as good as Bremer, we will be the luckiest fans in the world.

  12. Does this give him a chance to get into Twins HOF next year? The tributes and speeches will abound that day
