  1. Pelicans were really trying to give us the game in the last minute, but OKC said, “It’s aight, just take it”

  2. Losing to a Pels team without Ingram, Trey Murphy, and Alvarado while being up 22 at one point is nasty

Can’t be turning the ball over that often and the team needs to crash the boards better

  3. That stretch where our 20 point lead was erased by 5 threes in like 6 possessions was super unfortunate

  4. SGA limp getting progressively worse and the play is for him to get the ball way out there? Not sure about that one, diagonal.

  5. i get that SGA is a walking bucket but if he’s off then he has to defer to Chet. That and the constant early shot clock 3s killed us tonight.

  6. loss is on Daig for real. we are getting murdered by size and after a timeout late in the 4th he puts out a 5 shooting guard lineup that immediately gives up a 3 point play to Zion before subbing Chet in the very next play.

Josh Giddey had no business closing that game out after the game he was having. Wiggins or Joe needed to be out there. Why should Giddey close games when we play exclusively through Shai and Giddey cant guard anyone or shoot the ball?

if he wants to experiment with lineups, what about Shai, Dort, J Dub, Chet, Sarr? You know, to actually have some size and get a board?

    Wiggins needs more minutes

  7. Reminder: This team is really fuckin young.

Also, we need JWill and Kenny Hustle back ASAP. Rebounding is why we lost this game, not a missed 3

  8. Definitely a winnable game. Literally could not hit a wide open three in the second half to save our LIVES. So frustrating this game was free man

  9. I mean, bad loss and it’s a bummer but this place needs to fucking chill.

It’s been five games. Rub one out and take a nap or some shit. It’ll be okay.

  10. Aaron Wiggins was +14 on the night. The Thunder went down by 12 in the fourth with Giddey doing fuck all. Then Shai, Wiggins and the squad cut the lead to 5. Then for some goddamn reason Mark subs Wiggins out of the game for Giddey. Is he developmentally disabled? The paint was then automatically clogged the remainder of the game

  11. Lads this loss stings but we can take it on the chin and keep on keeping on we are still above .500 and there was parts of the game we looked quite good, hopefully SGA is ok looked to be labouring a bit with the ankle, on to the next game

  12. I hate to say it, but Giddey shouldn’t play in crunch time. Cason with his spacing and defense would be much more valuable.

  13. Giddey has to either get to the line more or shoot at least average from 3. Not important enough as a creator and not a good defender to justify this level of offensive production.

  14. We need a focused 2nd star. Whoever it is. Honestly probably Chet. They need to get the 2nd option shots. Feelings may be hurt but that’s true

  15. Whew there was a lot of hyperbole and gnashing of teeth in the game thread. Idk, this game seemed fine. Obviously you want the win, but I think there’s a lot to be encouraged by.

Team defense was stellar in the first and at the end of the fourth. Chet continues to be great, but if we keep him at the 5, we’re gonna need to be great gang rebounders (which isn’t that different from last season). I’d like to see minutes with him and Saar together. Jdub came on nicely in the second half after a poor first half. The opposite can be said about Giddey and Shai. I’m not too worried about Shai’s ankle; if he was able to finish the game, it won’t keep him out long.

  16. I think I’m going to try and shed my expectations for one more year. It’ll be hard, but I might have to Choose Dumb.

  17. Thunder – 6 offensive rebounds.

    Pelicans – 22 offensive rebounds.

We are never going to win anything this piss poor on the glass. This lineup won’t win anything without a heavy that can box out and keep the opponent from getting second and third chances.

  18. Now that teams are taking the Thunder more seriously, the team’s youth and inexperience will be used against them, like it was tonight. If Micic can’t be trusted on the floor in moments like this, he needs to be traded for someone who can.

I will reiterate my desire for someone like Nance: he’s big and sturdy and well-versed in the veteran tricks. He seemed more like the “coach on the floor” than CJ McCollum.

  19. I think we are really underrating how good a backup center is. Sarr provides almost no offense. We face teams that have 2 big centers and they keep eating us down low, especially when Chet goes out. I think we need an actual PF, someone like JJJ, and then find a backup big that can play good defense, rebound good, and be efficient down low for when Chet is out
