Mets Daily Discussion Thread – November 02, 2023

The Mets are hosting their annual MetsGiving Food Drive presented by Affinity by Molina Healthcare to benefit New York Common Pantry on Wednesday, November 15 from 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. at the Mets Team Store at K Korner. New York Common Pantry works toward the reduction of hunger and food insecurity through an array of programs that function to establish long-term independence for those they serve. Their whole-person approach includes services such as fresh food pantry packages, hot meals, supplemental food for seniors, connection to resources and live healthy programs.

Fans donating at least 10 non-perishable items will receive a voucher redeemable for two tickets to a select Mets home game in 2024 (excluding Opening Day and the Subway Series). Fans will be limited to one ticket voucher.

  1. I got the sense watching the last couple of games that the dbacks were a young team that was happy to be there. They exceeded expectations by getting there. They dont hate losing

  2. AFL- Parada 2-3, 2B, BB, K, 1-3 throwing, Schwartz 0-5 3 k’s #Mets .
Bravwa lock up Joe Jimenez 3 years 26

  3. I don’t understand the amount of posts in this subreddit that just hate on former players after just winning the World Series. Degrom and Scherzer tried their best for us. It didn’t work out. Life goes on. Why do we have to constantly shit talk them? Why can’t people just be happy for hard working dudes who were good to us and really tried to win this city a championship?

  4. And now the hot stove season begins. I want Counsell, Soto, Ohtani and Yamamoto. DO IT STEVE!!!!

  5. Looking forward to all the posts about how the “Rangers built their team the *right way*” while ignoring their atrocious bullpen, tons of money tied up in older and injury prone pitchers, and generally inconsistent lineup that more or less shat the bed in the second half of the season

  6. Was anyone else kind of underwhelmed by the World Series this year? Texas has a good team. That lineup is pretty crazy when everything clicks for them. The D-Backs are a talented young team that got hot at the right time. But, idk, it really didn’t feel like that competitive of a series outside of game 1.
