Edit: What’s the 40 man at now?
I’m surprised we didn’t try to keep Rivas. He wasn’t a world beater, but he was serviceable at 1B. Maybe it’s just clearing room to go sign a veteran?
Rivas is a bit surprising because of the 1B blackhole…they must be confident we will sufficiently address that this offseason. Marcano I’m meh on, especially after 2 years of below replacement level production and a major injury, Capra and Bolton good riddance.
Add Brubaker, Perdomo and Cruz to the 40 man and were set! (Unless there is a incoming trade, waiver pickup, etc that is to good to pass)
Now give me two of Flaherty/Giolito/Montes/Heaney/Miley/Velasquez (preferably Giolito and Flaherty), Santana as a 1B stopgap and Latin veteran presence, a solid reliever or two, and sign Cutch and im happy!
