2 out of 3 of Soler/Sonny Gray/Montgomery would be nice. Seth Lugo could be a sneaky add too he was really good this year
Will Smith
Sonny Gray seems like someone they should pursue
You’ll get Odorizzi and you’ll like it.
I don’t think we are signing a free agent.
Joc Pederson and Tommy Pham
Wouldnt mind seeing Nola and Will Smith.
If we retain Morton, I’d like to see Hader as the “big” signing. Jimenez, Minter, Raisel, and Hader would be like running out 2 sets of late game bullpens which could be huge during the regular season.
Sign Chapman and move Riley to left /s
Give me joc back!!
Maybe Jordan Montgomery?
If we get a free-agent I think it’s either a corner OF, a SP or a DH (if we move Ozuna for some reason). I personally am not really desiring any of these dudes and would rather try and get Tyler Glasnow from the Rays. If we dip into free-agency then I’d want someone like Joc (his vibe more than Joc himself) to give this team an edge they seemingly lack in the postseason.
I’d like to get Aaron Nola but I don’t know how much he’ll cost. He is 30 now and is coming off of an okish year so maybe that’ll make him a little more affordable. He’s been dependable with 32 or more starts in the last 5 full 162 game seasons. So even if he is just okish again maybe he can at least give us some consistency in the rotation which is something we struggled mightily with last year.
Plus he is a southern boy so bring him on home.
Btw I don’t think we will but I’d like it if we did.
Will Smith, easy. He gets his 4th in 4. 😄
Giolito and Mahle, though Mahle won’t be worth much til 2025
Give me Joc Pederson in the Guillermo Heredia role.
I’m convinced he’s the reason we won it all in 2021. Not because of his on-field contributions, but his swagger, confidence, and attitude.
I’m not sure how feasible it is but if we can move Ozuna, I would like to see us have a conversation with Whit Merrifield now that he’s an UFA.
No way Phillies don’t re-sign Hoskins, right? Unless they plan on rolling with Bryce at first.
Wouldn’t mind making a play for him to DH and backup Matt IF we traded Marcell which I hope we don’t
Wish list out of this list.
Jordan Montgomery/ Nola / Gray
One of the three
Jesse Winkler on a minor league invite for LF
Sonny Gray
From Braves country and fills the need of a 2/3 starter that has a veteran presence.
Also won’t break the bank.
Bring Duvall home
Snell, Hader, Duval
Buy low on Giolito and see what he has. You know he still has the ace stuff but couldn’t bring it out this year. Put in the work with him in the offseason and see if it pays off.
I know it’s not likely. But what’s everyone’s reaction if you just pull up your phone one day and get a “Ohtani to the Braves” notification?
Ohtani
$17m for Wainwright after he’s retired seems steep
As things stand, we’re getting one player from each of the first three pictures, POSSIBLY 2 from the second picture. I won’t go into specifics
