The Tigers have acquired OF Mark Canha from Milwaukee, in exchange for Minor League RHP Blake Holub.

  1. Veteran RHH OF to mix in with all the young lefties they have out there.

    * 2023 (Mets/Mil): .262/.355/.400 (108 OPS+)
    * Career: .250/.349/.422 (115 OPS+)

    Edit: Should note the 108 OPS+ from Mark Canha would’ve made him the best QUALIFIED hitter on the Tigers last year.

  2. $11.5 mil club option this year. I’m guessing Brewers were about to decline it and the Tigers will pick it up. Tigers must like him and the contract better than guys like Renfroe on the FA market that you may have to pay more money and/or years to.

  3. Good move, should get a year minimum out of him and he will be a good influence on the youngings

  4. We got an average to slightly above average MLB player for next to nothing? That seems good, if he can produce at the same level next year

  5. An actual MLB hitter who could start right away. Nice to see proof that Harris does know there’s more acquisition channels than the waiver wire.

  6. HELL yes. I loved him on the Mets. Fantastic team leader, electric player, and when he gets hot he’s hotter than the sun. I think he’ll be a great fit in Detroit.

    Also a great Instagram follow. Huge food fan.
