49ers Fans Deserve Better Than Levi’s Stadium

Slow week so thought I share this video

  1. My biggest complaint is it’s not in SF. With that being said, so what it gets a little hot. Grow up. You’re not gonna melt in the sun. It’s a beautiful stadium that is easy to access. One of the better ones in the league and the energy gets electric.

  2. Either rebuild that POS, or move the team back to Kezar which at least is in SF. Or follow the example of the Warriors, play in Oakland for awhile and build a real, functional, stadium. Right now, the Coliseum is a better place.

  3. I’ve only been to preseason games at Jeans Stadium, but it sucks. It’s just so boring.

  4. Levi’s exemplifies exactly what native Californians hate about what this state is turning into… White washed spaces that lack culture.

Don’t get wrong – I love that I can take the Amtrak straight to the stadium, but aside from that, the place sucks. Love this team, but man, they missed the mark on building a world class venue 🤷🏽‍♂️

  5. People don’t really remember how fucking miserable Candlestick was for fans. From concessions to bathrooms to leaving. It’s only because we won Super Bowls there that they love. I’m glad I can still drive 15 minutes to the stadium and watch than out of state. All fields are the same. Who gives a shit about lipstick. I go to the games, tailgate then go home. I don’t give a shit if there’s anything else to do after or before

  6. Bigger question is what is with the lack of swag for home games? No shirts, towels, or bobble heads. What’s up with that?

  7. Getting to and from the statdium is a pain in the ass. The line for the light rail is super long and by the time you get to the CalTrain station you miss your train and wind up having to wait an HOUR for the next train to arrive. They don’t even bother running trains more than once/hour after home games?

  8. The stadium looks generic and cheap and I’m tired of homers pretending that it isn’t embarrassing. The place is unbecoming for a team with such a rich and storied history.

  9. Owner said build me a stadium. They said choose a, b or c. He said give me the most cheapest, cost saving one u got.

  10. This stadium sucks, coming from a lifelong 49ers fan. Candlestick had is parking/flow issues but it had some heart. This place has been a bummer the entire time it’s existed.

  11. Also let’s not forget to call out the politics in California and we know who these people are. They didn’t want to fund a stadium and remember who was mayor at the time.

Fast forward today with crime and homelessness leadership had no idea how the impact of the 49ers leaving would have. Oakland is starting to regret the Raiders moving and now the baseball team will leave.

City of Oakland even tried to sue Davis for revenue loss. Lol

  12. If they put a tarp over the “roof” I’m happy I just don’t want more sunburns

  13. This whole post and the comments remind me of why I might be a 49ers fan but I’m not a fan of the fanbase

  14. Can’t help but look at Levi’s south & the Raider’s new stadium and feel like we got screwed.

With that said Levi’s ain’t that bad. They have solid amenities, the food is good, the beer is cold.

Only thing that really sucks is half of the stadium is getting scorched in the sun’s death rays.

  15. It’s a good video with a lot of valid points.

But one of his key points, that he keeps coming back to again and again, is severely flawed. He is acting like the fanbase is in San Francisco.

I don’t think this this guy is a 49ers fan or even lives in the Bay Area with that. San Francisco is a tiny city. Most fans don’t live there and they never have. They’re from all over the Bay Area. For a lot of them Levi’s is closer to home.

And yes, for some of them it’s farther than Candlestick. I’m not saying the location is better in Santa Clara – he’s just really confused the way he keeps talking about San Francisco as if that’s where the traditional fanbase lives.

  16. I think they are just too cheap to add a roof. You can do it without increasing the height much.. and it would definitely help the airport from the bright lighting.

  17. I’m not a fan of Levi’s stadium design, but definitely don’t agree with many points in that video.

If anything moving to Santa Clara makes it closer to most Niners fans, San Jose has way more diehard Niners fans than Transplantcisco. The exact location might be not ideal with the runway bullshit, but I don’t mind them being in Santa Clara.

Also him saying the closest places to hang out are 40 minutes away. Downtown Santa Clara is right there, and San Jose also.

The complaints on the stadium design are legitimate though.

  18. Also for those people that don’t know our current stadium design was suppose to be at candlestick. Hence, part of the stadium is open. That was suppose to be the view of the city.

They took the blueprints and put it at SC.

The rendering of the Levi’s at candlestick is different than what it is now.

  19. This plan was originally meant to be built on land near water closer to SF. Where the temperature never gets too hot because of the Bay winds.

  20. This video kept showing Eddie Debartolo when talking about the Yorks. He has had nothing to do with the Niner origination for over 20 years. His sister and his sisters son Jed are the owners/decision makers

  21. This is some lazy, badly-researched garbage.

Say what you want about Levi’s if it’s accurate, but this vid is laughable.
