  1. My biggest concern for him back in July when we were talking Cy Young was the lack of innings. Tallies at the end:

    Steele: 173.1
    Gallen: 210.0
    Webb: 216.0
    Snell: 180.0

The wear and tear on Steele became more and more apparent as August and September rolled on by. If he can improve his durability a bit and come back next season just as strong, he can absolutely have a shot. But even back in July I felt it was a long shot as he trailed the leaders by 35+ innings already at that point.

  2. All NL West pitchers.

Why not rework the criteria so that the three finalists for each award in thr AL and NL are done so that there’s one player or Manger from the West, Central and East divisions?

    That’s good balance right there.

  3. Steele should’ve been a finalist. He got hurt which is why he had less innings. He faltered down the stretch a bit and didn’t make his last start after the cubs were eliminated but he was a better pitcher Don a rate basis than gallen and webb

  4. I’m not gonna pretend to give a fuck about these awards, but he wasn’t the best pitcher in the NL this year

  5. He got roped at the end of the year while these guys were solid as steel what the fuck do you expect?
