[Garafolo] #Eagles LB Nakobe Dean has been diagnosed with a Lisfranc sprain, sources tell me and @RapSheet . Dean, who called the defensive signals to start this season, will see a foot specialist to determine a course of action but he’s expected to be placed on IR.

  1. Really sucks that Nakobe hasn’t been able to stay healthy yet. Hope he can bounce back and progress. Still have high hopes for him.

  2. Sheesh. Its been a rough year for him. I want him to succeed but we need to bring in some serious competition next year at that spot.

  3. I still think he was a good pick in the third, but honestly this guy is really struggling to stay healthy.

He’s spent 5 games on IR this year, he’s going to continue to be out for the even more time this season, last year he wasn’t really seeing play time because of injury concerns. We need someone more reliable at starting LB.

  4. I really like nakobe & I’m definitely all for continuing to give him chances, but I pray Howie can bring Jeremiah Trotter Jr home in this upcoming draft.

  5. Ok we need to draft a S,CB and LB high next year

Tough luck Dean but I not sure that he is big enough to play the position in the pros

  6. Is this in any way a blessing in disguise, as he was probably on the field despite being worse than our other options?

  7. I love Dean but everyone could see he was playing through an injury. Heal up. Heal up.

  8. Not worried about this – Morrow and Cunningham were handling the LB position just fine.

  9. I feel bad for Dean his entire career he has dealt with injuries, reminds me a little of Jordan Hicks with how constant he was injured in Philly.

  10. I remember people in here banking on our LB corps to be better this year because Nakobe was supposed to be good, because how can he not be?

Now it seems that he isn’t particularly good (he didn’t win the starting job last season for a reason) nor can he stay healthy.

That’s why you can’t count on an unproven player to solve a problem.

  11. The man can’t cover, I’m not sure why he was put there over morrow, who is more athletic and has a better drop.

  12. As much as this sucks for him. He’s not really that good. Morrow and Cunningham are better than him. He seems to be undersized to play middle linebacker in the NFL.

  13. Eh he was a just a guy out there. Didn’t impress all that much. It hurts but could hurt worse.

  14. I hope nakobe can get it together but in his limited play this year he has shown to be a liability while also being injury prone. I was hopeful but he hasn’t shown anything to think you can rely on him in the future.

  15. Damn this sucks. He has shown promise when he’s on the field, just gotta keep him healthy.
    Hate that for him

  16. Honestly Morrow was playing better than him and should’ve stayed on the field once Dean recovered from his last injury. Said it then, still feel that way now.

Morrow’s biggest weakness is coverage, and Dean is even worse there.
