Heck, I’m in for trading Gleyber to open up an infield spot and then in another move get back a good LH bat (someone like Donovan from the Cards). For what Gleyber is going to make next year, it’s likely the smart business move.
However, trading Gleyber for Verdugo (an accused sexual predator) would be yet another cog in the ever growing wheel of seeing that Cashman is a moron. Verdugo even changed his number to #99 because he thought he was as good as Judge. He’s a loser, a meh glove, and a barely league average hitter. HARD PASS.
Is this one of those things where you’ve got people in a life raft adrift at sea, everyone’s decided who to kill to eat, and the person they’ve picked just punches a hole in the boat out of spite?
