  1. I love the confidence they have in him. He’s been playing really well as of late and I hope that continues, not only for us as a team, but for him personally. He’s had to have had a rough couple of years.

  2. Just rememeber these guys see and hear everything.

Also Chris always seems like a guy who would have your back no matter what.

  3. Perhaps the most important thing he has done for us so far is this:

***Darko has given this team spirit***

  4. Considering Malachi’s best statistical games were back 2021 when we were essentially tanking, these past two games have been (in my opinion) the best of his career. Defensively, he’s been aggressive (there was one play where he came flying into to contest a shot on Scottie’s man that really altered the shot), and offensively he’s really starting to find his groove. I still get queasy when he brings up the ball and is pressured (which hasn’t really happened these last two games).

Props to Darko for believing in him – I gave up on Malachi earlier in the season and I’m really glad I might be wrong.

  5. I feel like that’s the thing about Malachi. He might be up and down in terms of his level of play, but he seems like a REALLY hard worker behind the scenes and never complains about his role. In all of his interviews, he talks about staying ready for the moment and preparing every game on the chance he gets minutes. I can see why Darko is finally giving him a chance to play through his growing pains.

  6. Although it’s quite early in the season,
I think the Ted Lasso-Darko comparison is going to age phenomenally well.

The vibes is night and day from last season. From every single smile, high five, players huddles before free throws, and how players are talking about each other off the court. Even look at GTJ’s recent shooting struggle and how the bench is reacting to his every attempt/make.

The front office deserves massive credit for the Darko & Schröder acquisition just on the change in vibes alone.

Kudos to Malachi & teammates, front office and coaching staff on such a drastic change in culture, skills aside!
