  2. I will be beyond excited if we get him. That being said there is absolutely nothing that will convince me he’d sign with the cubs(or most organizations). When I see him holding up a jersey I’ll get excited.

    Cubs have a lot to offer. But they will undoubtedly need to pay the most and give him the most years. And there’s nothing wrong with that. Pull the trigger.

    That said, Burke (not someone I’m personally familiar with) has a solid list of followers. Dave Kaplan, Scott Chenington (Marquee Sports), Paul Sporer, Maury Brown…these are legit follows. It lends credence to the source.

    Probably worth filing away as possibly legit information, if not “news. I’m going to give him a follow and see where this goes. Just a little more smoke on the fire.

  10. Yu deserves a statue if he helps land Ohtani.

    That’s also a strong testament to how much Yu is respected by Japanese players if him selling a destination and organization holds that much value.

  11. Ohtani, Seiya, and yamamoto would be a huge smart investment for the Cubs. Imagine the fans and merch that would sell
