  1. Sixers want player like Jrue Holiday then lists assets to acquire a player significantly better than Jrue Holiday.

  2. Not that much. Teams like the heat, nets, Celtics, have more. Although sixers do have a lot of expiring contracts.

  3. It would be nice if a great player would demand to go to us and only us for a change. *Monkey paw curls*

Breaking News: Karl-Anthony Towns demands trade, only wants to go to the 76ers.

    God dammit…

  4. Surrounding Embiid with athletic, 2 way, role players works – it’s what we’ve been saying forever – while they kept assembling the geriatric Globetrotters…

If it ain’t broke, I’d prefer they find the 3rd star through the draft, stockpile some picks by trading for better future ones (hello Howie) while keeping an eye open for a game-changing vet, that you spend about a first on, because he wants to play for Nurse.

  5. Honestly, Jrue would fit perfectly on our team right now playing next to Maxey. In a perfect world, the Harden deal happens first and then we could have had a chance at Jrue.

We basically need a decent sized backcourt mate that can also facilitate the offense when Maxey sits, while hopefully being a decent shooter and solid defender. Holliday literally checks all those boxes.

I’ve been looking at other rosters – some names people have thrown out are Caruso, Fultz, Brogdon, Tyus Jones. None of them really check all these boxes like Jrue. I do think Brogdon is probably closest though and would seriously consider a trade for him if he is healthy as we approach the deadline.

  6. I’ll keep saying it. Tre Jones is a great bench ball handler. And the Spurs don’t want him. Get it done.

  7. Do we have enough for Mikal Bridges? And would we want him for an expensive price even though his contract is really good?

  8. Dejounte Murray, he’s the guy I want next to Maxey.

edited: not a free agent this year, gotta use dem picks

  9. I’d rather, instead of a home run star trade this season they go for a smaller solid level move. It would be a ball hander that can play solid defence.

The players I like Caruso, Suggs, Quickley (may be too expensive), Brogdan.

Then go into the off season with cap space AND some draft capital for additional flexibility.

Obviously if a star becomes available on a good deal they should take it but don’t overpay this season.

  10. Who are players that are even similar to Holliday? He’s a pretty unique player…

Only one I can think of is DeJounte Murray.
