Im not a blame the refs kind of guy, even this game, but to say that the officiating wasnt absolutely disgusting is an understatement.
Smart and JJJ thrown out for being fouled themselves essentially.

Team may come out next game with more emotion because of this, would be nice to see. Scary to think this is the easy part of the schedule 😬.
What do we think this costs him? 25k? 50k? 100k?
Alright, not only did this need to be said but also he is doing a better job and the W/L’s show. Each game it looks like he is trying to try on a new rotation and feed mins to guys he knows will need to know how to play when we get players back. I’m really excited that this starting 5 will look great as soon as Ja is back. BTW, sick of the coach hate and maybe this will shut them up.

Gotta be real here, I wish Will Hardy would speak up too. Maybe I’m overestimating their pride here, but the Jazz must feel at least a bit embarrassed to have their hands held like that. These guys are professional athletes competing at the highest level, they don’t need very winnable games handed to them.
But they also almost lost the lead and could have lost the game because of that 4 minute or so stretch after Jaren was ejected where the refs called every single call in our favor.
Damn, I’m proud of Jenkins for speaking his mind! It had to be said! These refs are going to make a bullshit call or a bullshit no call at the wrong time to the wrong player, and somebody is going to come completely unglued on these refs and it’s not going to be pretty!

Edit— nevermind, I got it to work.
It’s clear that the refs or even the NBA itself has it out for the Grizzlies. Guys argue calls and engage with refs to get better understanding and like TJ said it just gets ignored. Trip can’t shake the foul reputation because the refs won’t let him. It’s not even about his play anymore. Grizzlies can’t win close games w/o Ja anyway but this gives another incentive to start out hot and blow teams out early because when it’s left up to the refs they’re gonna call against us every time.
Fuck the refs. But let’s be honest, we’ve never gotten a good whistle . Refs have always fucked this team against the lakers and warriors in the postseason are 2 examples
