  1. “Mutual parting of ways,” is PR speak for “getting fired.” If this rumor has any teeth Bill may be offering his resignation so as to not force Kraft’s hand.

  2. After Mac’s rookie year everyone thought it’d be on the up-and-up again, but it just hasn’t materialized after questionable free agency and coaching decisions.

  3. These are just assumptions. I personally don’t see it happening. IMO, arguably top 5 coach still.
If we’re going to get rid of bill, then why not a trade? There were countless rumors about a trade with multiple teams. I’d rather that than just firing or ā€œmutual partingā€. We need draft picks! And lots of them!

  4. Jesus Christ, every link here about Bill or Mac is totally useless. this is nothing more than speculation, most likely by former Patriots player/coach/front office executives who are now media members.

Her words make it clear that her sources have no actual inside information about what is currently going on behind closed doors, or what is likely to happen after the season.

  5. I’m willing to ride it out with BB. He’s brought us unprecedented success and took the patriots from one of the leagues laughingstock franchises to the most elite. He has a lot of leeway in my book. If we suck for the next decade it would still all be worth it.

  6. Bill and the Patriots will mutually part ways. Bill will never be fired, he’ll retire when he wants. Bill will be fired Monday if we lose this week. Bill will be traded to Washington. Bill has a new contract so he’s locked in long term.

It’s all made up click bait, and it works.
