  1. woj keeps saying this word Significant and I just feel like he’s being paid by someone to keep using it.

  2. What are the injuries where he’s out of the hospital in 3 hours but is out for a significant period of time? Broken leg? Concussion?

  3. Pretty encouraging that he’s out already. Hopefully it’s just some bruising or similar

  4. Best news we could probably receive at the moment since it sounds like he’s not in need of emergency care. Sixers have been doing good by players with their injuries and expect they’ll do the same here with Kelly

  5. I hope he heals up quickly, I know I am not a basketball player but know first hand the mental aspect of accidents, glad he can get the best possible care as well.

I’m glad he at least didn’t need emergency surgery or anything of that nature.

  6. This guy really phrased it as ‘stable condition’ an hour before Oubre got released from the hospital. Just farming clicks at all times.

  7. They made it sound like he suffered major injuries but if he got released right away then it’s probably nothing.

  8. Between the normal collars, sesame seeds, drafting player who forgot how to shoot, drafting a player that refused to shoot, and the recent James Harden drama literally nothing about this franchise surprises me anymore

Hope he doesn’t have any lasting injuries, Oubre has been balling.

  9. I got hit by a car that was going slow while riding my bike and barely got hurt, but I still had dropfoot for like a week. So much can go wrong with the body after that kinda impact, it’s good to be cautious.

  10. I really hope sixers do some kinda cleansing or prayer. Like fend of negative energy, ghosts or something. This organization cannot catch a break. First thing they should do is f the process.

  11. From the pic they released of him in the hospital, it looked like his wrist / lower arm was in a splint / cast and they also had his two outer fingers on the same arm splinted up as well. So I imagine the time out will be tied to some combination of broken fingers / hand / wrist / arm given what they immobilized.

Could be from the impact but probably more likely caused bracing/ impact of the fall. I’ve broken a wrist and hand in separate incidents on big falls on asphalt. On the flip side I’ve been hit by a cop car in a crosswalk in the hip pretty hard but didn’t fall and I was fine, didn’t even get checked out on that one.

  12. Damn. Wishing him well. Bad luck for he and the Sixers. He’s been playing great so far this season

  13. healthcare professional here

philadelphia is a legitimate shit hole

i cannot imagine what their er looks like, its got to be bad

but people like him and others do get special treatment, there are cleaner and more private hospital units he would be taken care of in, but still, i doubt he wants to be in the hospital
