I will say it’s a *little* weird that they’re talking about this like some exciting, novel thing, when we’ve been using Marcus in exactly the same way for years. Jrue’s obviously an upgrade on offense, but defensively his role is gonna be pretty similar
I wanna know how tf Jrue is so strong. Like when we saw nearly a decade of Marcus bodying bigs in the post it was obvious, he’s thicc with a low center of gravity. I know of course 90% of the league have the body of demigods compared to normal people, but compared to other reputationally strong NBA players and especially Marcus, Jrue doesn’t look anything special. But he’s just as sturdy a wall to run into.
Where is my man that was arguing with me about Jrue’s ability to guard bigs?

Haven’t listened, but “locking down” is a bit of a stretch lol. We’ve implemented this strategy of doubling embiid before
