Nino’s agent is in town demanding top 6 minutes. Alex is a third line forward. Gabe comes back to play first line. New second line is Nino, Cole, Nik to get Ehlers playing well again; and third line playing 11 minutes moving forward is Appleton, Lowry, Alex. Vlad lost too many faceoffs and is fourth lining it until the next injury up front.
You can’t mess with chemistry and Scheifele and Iafalo have it and it’s all there to make KFC take the shot. If you ask me Kyle needs to work harder at forechecking like the other 2 do and they’d be even more a force turning over pucks. I think at least at first when Vilardi gets back, he should slide into the 2nd line and see if they can get some chemistry and get Ehlers going. This would have to come at the expense of Perfetti moving down if they want to retain a true centre on the line and I think they do. Iafalo has earned more of a look on that top line. Not sure how this will change the 4th line with Gus out and Perfetti in but if it doesn’t work, the Jets would be forced to put Vilardi back on the 1st line and Iafalo back on the 4th with Perfetti on the 2nd but that 2nd line needs something different and I can’t help feel we’re wasting work ethic and talent of Iafalo if he’s on the 4th line. He’s like a dog on a bone turning over pucks for the big guns.

I don’t think we should break up the 3rd line. They’ve been the most consistent out of the four. If you’re going to insist on changing it then put Vilardi on the 1st line and put Iaffalo with Nino and Lowry.
Is it worth putting Vilardi on the second line and bumping Ehlers down to the 4th line? You can’t really dump Vlad cuz you need him at center, and Perffeti IMO is playing better then Ehlers.
