  1. Wtf? I like Demarlo but how many new terms are we making up. We now have an offensive coordinator / bench coach, a manager, and an associate manager?

  2. I like DeMarlo Hale, but I am curious what exactly an Associate Manager is and how that differs from Don Mattingly’s role as the Bench Coach (in addition to Offensive Coordinator).

  3. We actually rehired DeMarlo Hale? This sub really manifested hard if we made up a job so he could be a pseudo bench coach again

Is he the alternate if John Schneider were to get ejected, or is that still the bench coach by default?

Does this mean if I pray really hard, Edwin Encarnacion can become the hitting coach?

Gotta love winter baseball news leaving me with more questions than answers

  4. I like this and am glad he’s back (surprised he didn’t get the manager role in Cleveland). I just don’t know what the role would do and why we are creating so many new titles/roles.

  5. Damn they’re just making jobs up at this point! Let’s create a Reddit Manager that works under John Schneider too!

  6. Associate Manager means that he still wants to keep looking for a manger position, but that he needs some gig and the Blue Jays think it would be fine to have him hang around until he finds one or something else he’d rather do. Basically, no strings attached on either side, but he has value to us.

  7. Welcome back. sir. I wonder if the Associate Manager will be responsible for tracking mound visits as our manager and bench coach were slightly embarrassed in that department last season.

  8. My old workplace used to do this. When business blew up a bit we even had a nepo-hire junior assistant client services manager for a $20m/year company. Love shitty org charts

  9. LOL instead of firing the manager, they’re gonna give him like more people to micromanage things. It’s hilarious. Waiting for us to hire a special teams coordinator next.

  10. Is he in the Dwight Schrute role as an assistant to the manager or assistant to the assistant regional manager?

  11. I don’t quite understand his role, but I’m glad Demarlo is back. I’ve always thought he should have been given a shot to run the team.
