He will be back next year Blank always hang on a year too long
Yall really going to believe Jeff Schultz? lol! Dude just spews whatever the Falcons marketing team tells him.
Great a verbal slap always gets the message across.
Torture chamber rolls on
I think that’s fair. Let Ridder play the rest of the year and see if Smith can make adjustments and grab the division. As much as these losses make me want to clean house, giving him at least a full year with an actual NFL roster (not in cap hell) is completely reasonable.
Haha stole my post!
Get rid of Ragone first.
No one should be surprised. Remember when Arthur Blank retained Dan Quinn in 2019 and this subreddit swore up-and-down that team would rebound?
Pepperidge Farms remembers.
Bro we’re not going to fire back to back coaches mid season. It’s the right move to wait until after season. He knows he’s as good as fired unless he wins the division.
Cool. Done watching for the season. See y’all in 2025.
Sounds like we’ll have a good draft pick because in order to win games, you need to score points. Arthur has a hard time utilizing his playmakers. Bijan should be a no doubt NFC RoY selection.
We have nothing to lose, play aggressive.
I’d cry
He is going to ruin our 1st round QB next year
Yea I’m not watching until Smith is fired, I think everybody should boycott to send a message that we won’t tolerate this crap
I think we should try to lose out the rest of the season and get as high a draft pick as possible. We desperately need a qb. Also firing smith before the draft is imperative we can’t let him make anymore decisions for the future of this team
Blank is the problem. He loves mediocrity
I guess it is what it is..
At this point let’s just take it week by week and go from there..
Fine by me. But if we use “winning the division” as a reason to keep him and we’re like 8-9 or 9-8, that’s not the right call. There has to be improvement on how we utilize our offensive weapons, and less general sloppiness.
What would be nice is if the ticket prices went down. I’d see the team play poorly if it wasn’t that expensive for nosebleed seats
Makes no sense to fire him mid season it’s super annoying don’t get me wrong but we’re only game back of the division lead. That’s not when you fire the coach. Wait till we miss playoffs then fire the coach
Win the final 3 games. Blank keeps him. Ruins our draft pick. Rinse. Repeat.
Hope we fire him on black monday and already have a good hire lined up. We need the new coach to hand select the rookie qb we take in the 1st
Jim Harbaugh to Atl. Who says no? No more flash in the pan coordinators that are on great teams that masks their weaknesses
Probably the unpopular opinion, but it’s the right move. Ultimately the Buck stops at AS, but it’s not as obvious as people want to make it out to be that the problems are all his, and I think he deserves the rest of the season to prove he can coach through adversity and make this team win some games.
