I’d be scared to lose Ben Johnson, but I’m downright terrified to lose Hank Fraley. The job he has done with our O-Line is absolutely impeccable.

  1. As long as the Fords pay him decent, he isn’t going anywhere. Most O line coaches don’t move up the coaching ladder.

  2. Reality is we definitely lose more than 1 coach if Johnson is hired as a HC. Happens every year

  3. We are now the team that bad teams come to and take coaches from. Weird being in this position.

  4. You could argue that the work he’s done could make any OC successful. Most schemes make sense on paper if the guys blocking do what you planned

  5. O line is just as much about the players on the roster and it’s not super easy to just build an Oline like we have. I think most O line coaches would kill to have this job and have all the flexibility we have in that group to do some creative shit

  6. Welcome to being a fan of a good franchise. If you trust Brad and Dan as much as y’all say you do, then they’ll make the right decisions on replacements for everyone.

  7. Jeff Stoutland has been in Philadelphia under three coaches he’s and he’s regarded as the best o-line coach in the business. If he wants to stay here and the money is right, he’ll be here for as long as he wants.

  8. Agreed. We need to pay him what he asks until we win a SB we’re about 3 seasons away tops!

  9. Hank Fraley was the guy who originally put the bag of kittens in the dumpster that Ben Johnson (as we all know) set on fire. If I were an opposing NFL team I would think long and hard before hiring someone with those kind of character issues.

  10. As someone rooting for the Lions from another state, (IE. Not privy to rumors and overall thoughts), do most fans view Johnson pretty much gone after this year? I can’t imagine some of these potential openings not putting him at the top of their lists.

  11. I feel like there are lots of good skill players in the league we could drop in with our OLine and have a top tier offense. Even if we lose some of the skill guys, I think we can replace them and find success. Lions OLine for life though.

  12. Give the coaching staff some rev share/equity which only pays them while they’re coaching for the lions. They’ll never leave
