  1. Derrick White shaving his head somehow makes me hate his ugly ass even more. Especially when anytime we would go on a run he would splash a three….

  2. Outshot from the arc 87 to 52 in these two losses. Not every team can play 5-out, but teams are going to spread us out and force Embiid to move around

  3. eh I wasn’t expecting a win. It is still disappointing to see Joel tryin to play iso hero ball/moping when it doesn’t go his way/he isn’t getting the calls. They need a true back up PG or run Springer. Bev needs to be a 5 minute spark guy. No Morris ever please. I get we are hurt/second end of a back to back so im not mad

  4. Same old sixers, second round exits again probably to the celtics or pacers, shit maybe first round exits. Just gonna try to enjoy the regular season, by picking and choosing when to watch. Definitely still 0 belief in this team actually accomplishing anything this season other than maybe maxey MIP.

  5. Can someone drug test Derrick White? MF pulled a reverse Sampson out here. Cut his wisps came out lookin’ swol.

  6. still infuriated that other teams aren’t even guarding horford anymore because he’s so bad from 3 and makes 50% here. just so tired of the same dumb bullshit every time

  7. Embiid was horrid and those late game turnovers were frustrating but I’m ultimately putting this lost on the coach who decided to put Morris and Bev in the game again after watching them piss away the lead in the first half. You cannot play Embiid with bums who can’t shoot and expect to win those mins.

  8. Not once did Horford make a clutch shot for us but against us you can make an hour long highlight reel of clutch shots against us.

  9. Only good thing about this game is that hopefully Springer will move up to seventh or eighth man in rotation. Let him play and work out his weaknesses as there was a lot to be excited about in his performance tonight.

  10. Derrick White being their 5th best player and he is better than Tobias Harris our third best player. And we still get outscored on the bench lol

  11. Embiids effort is HUGE problem, somedays you can tell he’s not even trying. And it happens in the most important games! The last two he just slumping and moping and walking around the court. Paul Reed has 100% more heart than embiid and he shouldve stayed out there tonight. As a fan it disappoints seeing our MVP just not even try. When he does try its easily 40 points

  12. Sadly Derrick White would be an absolutely perfect backcourt partner for Maxey. Sucks he is on Celtics.

  13. Embiid was gassed yesterday and he looked gassed today. Maxey started deferring in the 4th which wasn’t ideal, though maybe he was getting tired too? I dunno, it’s just one game and we kept it close despite the back to back after an intense game last night. I know Boston was down both Brown and Porzingis, but they’re a pretty damn deep team and we seemed more hurt by the lack of Batum and Oubre than Boston by the lack of their guys. It was great seeing Springer getting some run tonight. I think he had 2 boneheaded plays when he first came in, but then he really stepped it up after. Beverley should never be allowed to shoot a three again, and I’d honestly be fine if we give Korkmaz his minutes. The main thing I’m concerned about this week is that our defense hasn’t looked good the last 2 or 3 games. Our effort was awesome the first few games and it’s taken a step back lately.

  14. I think everyone’s expectations got completely out of whack by the Sixers winning 8 in a row… Celtics have been the best team in the East all year and we knew they would be #1 or #2 coming into the season. Sixers are good now but traded James Harden to get assets that they can trade later to become a team that can compete on the same level as the Celtics. No one thought going into this season that the Sixers Roster was the best in the East and it didn’t become the best when they added RoCo and Marcus Morris. I’m happy the Sixers were overachieving to start the year but I’m really glad we have to assets to add players. This is not our final form.

  15. Neubeck’s summary was pretty hard on Embiid. You can both support Embiid as a fan while at the same time saying he was bad and had a poor performance. It’s OK to do that.

  16. So many terrible takes in this thread, holy moly 😆

Yall need to get some sleep. I’m considered a “doomer” and even I can say that this was the 2nd game off a b2b against a very good team, even with two of their stars out, and it’s ok we lost.

We are missing 2 starting caliber forwards who provide the 3pt shooting and switchability we’ve been missing for the past two games.

Relax. Celtics are a good team, but we’re a good team too and we have the pieces to improve the roster even more before the deadline.

  17. Frustrating game. I’m fucking annoyed as fuck because it’s Boston, but this wasn’t horrible.

We had some dumb turnovers, and horford + white hit every 3 they took in the 2nd half per usual.

Pat Bev was awful on offense and Morris takes dumbass shots whenever he’s on the floor.

  18. I am fucking pissed and angry, so here’s a rant and to be fair, I’ll start with Maxey.

Maxey: Dude, WTF tonight? No, seriously. Yes, they’re face guarding you. Yes, you’re getting doubled off the ball. And yes, your coach didn’t quite make adjustments(Oh we’ll get to Nick Nurse) but WHAT THE FUCK? You need to find a way to get yourself open. You need to find a way to get quality shots up. There’s no reason you should only have 16 shots. And it’s not like you were playmaking because Melton had the ball in his hands almost as much as you. F. FUCKING F. Play better, I know you can.

Embiid: You were kind of solid offensively, but again WTF was that possession in the corner? If you’re in the corner, it’s to SHOOT the basketball. I don’t care if it gets blocked at that point or if it misses. You can always rebound a miss, you can’t rebound a turnover.

Speaking of turnovers, I am sick and tired of you losing the ball on bringing the ball up the floor while not having any awareness of whose behind you. How many turnovers like that do we have to have? For as great as you are, eight years in you haven’t improved at these little things. So A D grade.

Tobi: C+ grade. I liked your energy and stuff, and you made a couple of buckets. But the problem we have offensively is that we have to spread the floor. That means someone needs to SHOOT. And it wasn’t you. Nick Nurse may be catering to your post touches, but it’s massively hurting the offense.

Melton: C grade. The good: Your shooting is back. The bad: Your defense sucks and you’re not a PG. Next.

Beverely: F Grade. Your whole gimmick back in your Houston days was to be a spot shooter. Without that, you’re a pesk that’s not worth a roster spot.

Korkmaz and Morris: I hope never to see you again, and I hope Morey pulls off some trades.

Paul Reed: A+ Hey, made your first 3. More than that, you provided tenacious energy on both ends of the floor. You should have closed this game, and if it were up to a lot of us, you would have closed this game. Hold your head up high.

Jaden Springer: A+. The same goes to you. Amazing defense, hustle to be at the right place at the right time. Caused about 3 Celtics turnovers and if up to us, you’d have finished the game.

Okay, I held all of the players accountable okay? Some might agree or disagree with my viewpoint, but that’s what it is.

Nick Nurse: F. Best Doc Rivers impression. To be fair, at first down 17 you put in a Jaden Springer to see what you get. Hey, you get the lead after one. So you’d think the rotations would change somewhat?

We go back to the starters in the second half, the C’s go on a run. The young bucks come back in, and we reassert momentum. Now guys, this is where we lose the game:

Down by about 2 points, Nick Nurse calls a timeout because he wants to get Joel back. Fair enough. He had TWO options without looking like a spazz:

Option A: Bench Tobias Harris for Joel Embiid, it’s not like Tobi is spreading the floor anyway.

Option B: Go big lineup, and bench Melton for Embiid. So you can go Maxey/Springer/Harris/Reed/Embiid.

Dickhead chooses: Back to the lineup that got into a 17 point hole AND also failed in the second half. Predictably the momentum stops.

But it’s not just his substitutions I’m pissed off about. How was there NO adjustment to them face guarding Maxey? The only adjustment I think I saw, was running the PNR up the middle. But it’s not like you did it alot(for starters) and then to repeat what I said in the Maxey segment, you had MELTON bringing the ball up the floor.

Just an overall mess, 1-2 on the 3 tough games and the hype around Maxey’s 50 pt performance is out the window.

  19. I hate this but Maxey is gonna have to score 25+ a night for us to win consistently. It’s not a fair ask but it’s reality.

  20. Games like this I think Maxey needs to shoot more, offense is lackluster, Tobi starts throwing up bullshit. This would’ve been a good night for 25+ shot attempts in his 39 minutes

  21. People really think og anunoby camping in a corner while embiid gets doubled or plays like a bitch, and Maxey is too afraid to shoot, is gonna get us over the hump. Can’t wait for the complaints when we trade our depth and picks for him and then sign him in the offseason for 35 million a year. I’ll screenshot this as an “I told you so”

  22. I cannot wait till we get Batum and Kelly back because they have no problems taking 3s, something funny enough since they’ve been out we have been taking less of. B2B suck no matter what, our biggest need is a 2nd ball handler who can play defense. However I am glad Melton found his shot again, definitely missed.

On to the next one it’s a long season one game in November isn’t making or breaking our season.

  23. Man Embiid just should not dribble near the end of games lol. So many turnovers in every clutch period it seems like

  24. Predictable ass doomers can fuck off y’all are tripping fr 😂 we played yest and then tonight on a segababa and we lacked two starters ¯_(ツ)_/¯ I feel fine go sixers

  25. caruso or bust for me. he fits every team and he can do pretty much everything we need him to. lavine would be a disaster

  26. Haliburton killed our momentum last night with open/uncontested 3s and White/Horford did the same tonight. Same shit as last season.

  27. man it was frustrating watching them trade 2s for 3s the whole fourth quarter. uphill battle. celtics shot 20 more threes. maxey and harris turning down open 3s way too often. Sixers were missing their 3rd and 5th best players, but celtics were missing their 2nd and 3rd.

  28. To me one of the biggest things that is always in the back of my mind with the Celtics is the 3 pt battle. They shoot WAY more of them and have the shooters to do so.

Do the Sixers invest in defense to try and address that or do they invest in a rotation player who can get the team’s 3 pt attempts up? The Sixers are among the bottom in the league in 3 pt attempts HOWEVER they are near the top in the league in offense. But will that change in the playoffs? If they’re not making 3 pts in the playoffs, I can see them having some real issues offensively and having to lean heavily on their defense.

  29. Embiid -25. Horford is still his daddy unfortunately. Maxey will most likely have games like this against Cs because he’ll have either White or Jrue on him at all times. Tobias had a pretty bad game too, missed lots of make able shots. Most frustrating thing is the stagnant offense though, especially when Embiid has the ball
