“Me and Ruben throughout the year were just like the walks don’t matter. If you walk a guy who cares, just get the next guy. You’ve got nasty stuff, believe in it, attack the zone and you’ll be fine.”
Money is great and Snell should get paid, but I do hope being able to come back to Ruben has to be worth something in contract talks.
That curve ball into the dirt! You could not lay off it. He was fun to watch.

I’m not sold on Snell as a long term contract yet Ruben is a quality pitching coach.
It’s good to remind all fans that Ruben is just as neck deep with in game bullpen choices as well. Quality managers just take the heat. Weak ones (or GM’s) get that pitching coach tossed.
Just a small baseball fact to take into next season before the myth of a manager working in some vacuum bubble on those decisions…That’s low baseball IQ.
