  1. I think according to Mr. Sloan Piva (The Sporting New
s), some of these batters are not MLB batter, the same standard he criticized Yu-Cheng Chang.

  2. Congratulations on winning your second MVP award. I'm looking forward to your future activities. I love watching baseball games. I’m rooting for you from Japan.

  3. Not only a baseball but Shohei is by far the best athlete on this planet include his personality for sure.
    Only problem is
    Who will be his bride?

  4. Even with his once in a lifetime talent, I've never understood how a player gets MVP on a team that didn't come close to sniffing the playoffs. Let's hope he ends up on a team whose management is competent enough to build a team where all this talent will actually matter. Most Outstanding Player? There's no doubt. Most Valuable? Not a chance. All that talent is inconsequential when your team finished 16 games under water.

  5. Ohtani was such a runaway favorite for 2023 AL MVP honors that Vegas sportsbooks stopped taking bets for the award entirely for much of the season before briefly putting him back on the board late in the year.

    Shohei Odds: -20,000

  6. As amazing as he was, he brought no value to the league or his bottom feeding team. Hence he was NOT an “MVP” of any kind. For a while the award never went to a player from a non-playoff team, and rightly so. It doesn’t make any sense. If you want to do it this way, just rename the award to “most awesome player” or “player of the year”.

  7. We'll go for MVP again in 2025 😌 Congrats Shohei!

*In 2024, with him being only DH and in the middle of TJS recovery is must be harder to win MVP again, but he'll surely comeback stronger after that.

  8. “勝って兜の緒を締めよ” =”Let not victory elate you”

    まだまだ、世界の野球人たちを、楽しませてください😊
