  1. Was really hoping Wisdom wasn’t gonna be back next year. Oh well, at least we have a manager I trust to play him in the right positions/matchups

  2. Gotta imagine the cubs sign these guys to minor league deals with invited to spring training.

    Sucks to see about Heuer.

  3. Madrigal and Heuer for Kimbrel is really looking like such a wash of a trade now. Injuries suck

  4. Once you accept him for what he is, with all his limitations, a 107 OPS+ platoon guy isn’t the worst to have around. At the same time I kinda feel like the team I want to the cubs to be doesn’t have Wisdom on its roster anymore

  5. Weird that people don’t want wisdom on the team. Dude had 268 at bats and 23 homers. Best ratio in the league. Dude would’ve hit like 32-40 home runs in full time play. Need him for sure to plug in spots or dh

  6. I was super high on Heuer, but also figured they’d keep Hughes for no other reason than he was a lefty. Wonder if his injury just never healed.

  7. Makes sense as we need roster space and can’t really trust any of those arms coming off of injury.

Glad we’re bringing Wisdom back. We’re not going to get a reliable 25+ HRs for his salary anywhere else.

  8. Wisdom isn’t *the guy*, but I still like having him on the roster. There’s no way he should be the best guy on your ballclub, but if he’s one of the worst that’s not a bad thing, imo. He’s one of those pieces you use to build around a star and round out your roster

  9. I like wisdom as a bat off the bench. I still believe he Can be one of the better power hitters in the league
