James Harden’s stats so far as a Clipper while “playing badly”: 68% TS, 16.5/5/5 on 51% shooting (39% from 3 & 95% from the line and taking only 10 FGA a game). Efficiency off the charts.

  1. Other stats include:

1.44 points per possession off of isolations (2nd in the NBA for players >1 isolation possession a game)

1.17 points per possession as the Pick & Roll ball handler (4th in the NBA for players >5 PNR’s a game)

  2. he needs to shoot more and not be so differential to PG and Kawhi. That will open more opportunities for them.

  3. The thing is, he hasn’t been “playing badly.” The news media and NBA sub have been pushing that narrative.

  4. He’s not been bad but most ppl outside this fan base will see the 1-6 record since he arrived and say he’s the main problem.

Really, it’s that our roster construction stinks, and also unsurprisingly the main stars are figuring out how to fit in while not stepping on each others’ toes.

Also Ty’s offense schemes are kinda garbo. Which isn’t really new but it’s making the clunkiness even worse

  5. Extremely efficient but needs to clean up the TO’s and just be more aggressive. Also needs to stop passing up catch and shoot 3’s. All things considered though he’s playing pretty solid and way better than ppl pretend he is
