Mike DeFabo on X | Here was a key miss in the red zone. The Steelers were trailing 10-7 with just under 9 minutes in the fourth. Diontae Johnson (bottom) runs a crossing route. The Browns have a busted coverage, leaving him wide open. Kenny doesn’t see it until the pass rush gets to him.

  1. The Pickett Spin Sack is becoming a patented move.

This is a young QB with happy feet and a confidence problem. I don’t know if he can’t make these reads because he’s been hit too much or because he has no faith in the scheme or if he can’t make them because he just isn’t an NFL caliber QB.

  2. That blocking scheme was putrid. 2 guys got hands on #90 and then both proceeded to pass him off to the other guy. Except neither of them actually stayed on it.

I’m ready for a whole new coaching staff. Maybe keep the RB coach, but the rest can fuck off.

  3. Seems like Kenny is trying to not bail too early from the pocket, but that’s hard to do with Moore and Seumalo being turnstiles. They’ve got to put Jones at LT, I can’t handle watching Moore “pass block” much longer.

  4. looked like he scanned past him right before he saw the pressure and turtled. might never have seen him at all.

  5. You nailed it, the pass rush was in his face, right when the coverage busted, can’t make that throw with the pass rush up the gut.

  6. Most people in this thread don’t seem to understand Kenny should be throwing this ball before DJ is actually “open”

  7. This is an awful play to begin with. It takes too long to develop for the defense they’re up against.

  8. Game is too fast for KP. He doesn’t have the pocket presence or arm strength for the NFL either. Pitt is a shit program and his coaching was bad there, just got lucky his senior year in a terrible ACC and put up big numbers

  9. I realized now, Kenny during his pocket presence also lacks the ability to scan the field.

  10. Too busy staring down Austin. His helmet never comes off read #1.

  11. Kenny with his patented “spin backwards and stop looking for a receiver” move that results in a sack 100% of the time.

  12. Kenny would have had to make that throw just as the pocket was breaking down. Like a split second window. It is easy to see him being distracted by the line failing. He definitely could not step up. I agree Kenny isn’t great this season. But this is not his fault entirely.

  13. The problem is he crossed into the middle of the field, which for this team is taboo, so of course he’s not gonna throw it to him.

  14. If you watch Kenny’s head you can see hes looking for GP on this route a little too long, when he comes back to DJ the Browns rush breaks through and causes the scramble.

Im not defending Kenny, im just saying what I saw.

  15. Anyone in the franchise that can do something about this won’t. We have to watch another season of this next year.
