Why Brock Purdy should be considered face of the NFL like Patrick Mahomes | Richard Sherman Podcast

Let’s get some rings first
Sherm going a little too hard here. Brock is amazing so far, but let’s get the ring first.
Agreed 100%. My feeling is that they don’t put Purdy on this conversation because they know how they failed scouting him. Admiting that Purdy is THAT good is also admit that they were completely wrong about him.
Brock is awesome but how about getting Fred some national attention, the dude is everywhere on the field.
I’ve NEVER went from hating someone to loving someone as much as I have with Sherman. I love him being a brock hype man. Keep it coming! It’s one thing to have announcers talk brock up, it’s entirely different when a top former player does, even if he’s a homer like me lol
As much as I like Brock, a few things.
1. it’s early, let’s get a ring or even a pro bowl for him.
2. I think being the face of the league requires some charisma off the field (Mahomes, Allen and Burrow have fun interviews and are entertaining off the field) And Brock doesn’t exactly have that. He seems more to himself in interviews. Maybe once he gets more comfortable he will come out of his shell.
3. It’s going to be Mahomes as the face until he messes up or falls off.
4. I love how much Sherman talks about us and pushes for us. Still can’t understand how I went from hating him to this.
as long as they keep him OFF the madden cover.
Is he high? He hasn’t got an MVP ot a super bowl. Got to have some accolades to be the face
Love Brock. But let’s see an SB appearance or ring. If he keeps the pace he’s at right now, he needs to continue to be in the mvp race. Right now, there isn’t a QB out there that’s separating themselves from the pack. Hell, right now, I think Garrett should be mvp.
I do think Brock should be considered for the Pro Bowl. Even in the slump, his worst game was against the Browns, and he still gave the 9ers a chance to win.
I think he can do everything above. He’s been absolutely destroying expectations this year. I still have the 9ers 13 n 4 and I’d love to wrong and see them sweep the remaining schedule.
He doesn’t have a funky haircut or dripped out flair. Until he does he wont be as marketable, plus he needs to win some superbowls.
Mahomes didn’t become the face of the NFL until he won multiple superbowls. Let’s pump the brakes
