For the 2024 free agent class, who is someone we should attempt to sign.

Personally, I would love to try and get Mike evans.

  1. That Dalton Shultz guy seems like he’d have great synergy with CJ if I had to take someone.

  2. Obviously depends on who we draft, but Chris Jones, Danielle Hunter, Bobby Wagner would be mainly who I like from this list. Budda Baker would be good too. I’d like to re-sign Schultz as well.

  3. Chris Jones or Christian Wilkins would be massive. Also try to keep shultz. I’d try to keep noah brown too, but would prefer higgins if we could pull it off.

  4. For offense: I would love to see Josh Jacobs, Mike Evans, and of course Schultz.

Then for OL and everything in defense. My answer is….yes.

  5. Schultz. Most of the top defenders would be amazing. Also maybe a RB if they are cheap. I’d take a flyer on one of those guys for a cheap deal for sure

  6. Chris Jones, Christian Wilkins or Justin Madibuke absolutely. Consistent interior pressure on this team could produce a top 10 defense, potentially even top 5 if they continue taking steps like they have recently.

Other than that, maybe a CB for ILB depending on if we let Steven Nelson/Blake Cashman walk in FA. And that goes for other positions as well. We’ll have to see who we extend and who we let walk at several positions before making decisions.

  7. Pls resign Noah Brown, he’s a DAWG. I don’t think we should go after Mike Evans personally, he’s only gonna get worse, he’s a 30 year old physical receiver

  8. Obviously resign dalton Schultz.

Mike evans is my number 1 WR, I wouldn’t be mad to get Calvin Ridley though.

  9. Mike Evans, Dalton Schultz, and Chris Jones/Christian Wilkins would be money. Can get OL and DB help from young bodies in the draft.

  10. Some of these guys will resign with their current teams. I will wait until after the season to see which players resign and who choose to leave for free agency

  11. Considering the amount of cap space we have and the fact that we are going to be an attractive destination now, a lot of them. Just make a wish list. This will be the off-season for some big moves as we have 4 years until we have to pay CJ, Tank and Will while the oline is also all accounted for minus depth.

  12. Priority 1: Williams, Jones, Cox at DL

    Luxury 1: Patrick Queen
    Luxury 2: Mike Evans
    Luxury 3: Saquan Barkley

Bring back: Dalton Schulz, Stephen Nelson (I thought we extended him ? )

This early in a rookie QBs contract you spend in free agency and aren’t scared of guys in there late 20s because by the time it’s time to extend them / unable to afford them they’ll be washed and that money can go to extending Stroud.

If you sign all of the above mentioned players plus you have another strong Caserio draft you can win a Super Bowl with that roster.
    side comments:
    – we have a lot of pretty good players on defense. we need 1-2 more alphas and we need one disruptive force right up the middle whether it be a top MLB or DT. I prefer DT because I think Demeco can coach up a young LB to be a fringe pro bowler while at DT it’s more natural talent dependent.

    – Mike Evans gives you a redzone weapon which helps our offense tremendously. I’m not looking at stats but one theme I see is we move the ball, but stall out in the redzone quite often. Not only the jump balls to Evans but what opens up underneath when you send him to the corner of the endzone and especially when it brings a safety over on a double team.

-I wouldn’t say Barkley is a huge need but a very good weapon to have for a cheap price. Since he is a RB he’d cost as much as a 2-3WR but his impact would be much higher. A Barkley / Pierce combo would be a nice thunder and lightning type deal.

Lastly, I love how every offseason Caserio tries to fill every immediate need / depth in free agency to allow us to draft BPA. I believe this off-season will be similar to the J-Jo / Danieal Manning off-season in terms of excitement and pieces added to a young improving team

  13. Personally I’d love Barkley. Something to help take the pressure off Stroud and the wide receivers. I think the upcoming draft class is loaded at WR too. I’d prob do mostly defense next draft, get Barkley this off season, cut Woods and ride with Collins, Tank, Metchi/Hutchinson worst case scenario. I’m not as big on signing an off season big name wr because Stroud is successful because he spreads the targets out and I don’t want any locker room drama if a “star” isn’t getting the production they want.

  14. Shultz, Nelson, Higgins, Jones…lot of good options tho, and Texans will actually be able to draw some talent now 😁

  15. Evans has said repeatedly he will never play anywhere other than Tampa.

But resigning Shultz and picking up a decent running back and maybe Kelce to bolster the O-line would be fantastic. But I have Doubts that Kelce is even gonna play after this season.

  16. I’d love to take a flyer on Jeff okudah and see if demeco can help him if we can get him on an affordable contract. Obviously all the stars the other people mentioned would be awesome too
