Full Week 12 PFF Grades: Offense/Defense & O-Line Pressures

  1. Remember, this has been a down stretch for Tua. And Waddle us gonna get 1000 yards easy with missing time and Hill on pace for 2k. Great stuff from our O.

  2. So outside of the ints Tua was pretty effing good. They probably didn’t give him a turnover worthy play for the 2nd int.

  3. Interesting to see Tua still graded out as our 3rd highest graded player on offense despite the two picks. I thought they would’ve penalized him more heavily but I guess PFF really liked what they saw from him outside of the two plays, which I agree with.

Liam surprisingly continue his solid streak of play. He was the highest graded pass blocker amongst our starting linemen. 5 of the 7 games he’s played where he’s seen 30+ snaps has resulted in him getting an above average pass blocking grade. Pretty wild turnaround, especially after the abysmal Buffalo showing.

Holland unsurprisingly got the highest grade on defense. He’s been PFF’s #1 rated safety.

Ogbah surprisingly got the second highest PFF grade, though he played just 14 snaps.

Baker also had his first elite grade of the season.

Phillips with another elite grade. So sad that we’ve likely lost him for the season.

Surprisingly on the Jets side of the ball, almost all of their offense finished with around an average grade, including their QB. I guess PFF feels like our defense just was way too much for them rather than the Jets just being completely incompetent themselves.

  4. Huh, how about that for Kion Smith.

Few years back I kept saying OL is all about coaching. Obviously you need your top talent out there but it shouldn’t be a disaster every time a starter leaves the field. During the Flores/Gase years, as soon as we lost literally one starter on the oline, we were fucked.

Now look at us. I don’t even know who the guys are and they’re doing well

  5. Assuming some of the drops, like the TD throw dropped to Tyreek, factor into this. His first int was absolutely awful, 2nd int was just good defense. Outside of that he played pretty well from the eye test. His worst passer rating of the season, though. 77.5 vs prior low of 87 vs KC. Some stuff to improve on and the last 3 games have hurt his MVP odds, but at least from a franchise perspective it’s cool to have a QB where a high 70 passer rating is the worst of it. Decades where we had multiple games a season with 50 or below passer rating.

  6. Gotta give Liam credit:

After a horrible debut as a center, he has been very reliable at Guard.

  7. Haven’t watched the all 22 yet so I can’t comment on this but seeing X rated so high and Ramsey rated so low is jarring.

  8. Eichenberg we see you.

X, we also see you. Bruh. Step it up. This is your best season to try hard ever.

  9. Tua was statistically 3 plays away from a perfect game.

The dropped tyreek TD. And the 2 picks before half 💀. If you remove those his passer rating was a perfect score lol.

  10. Me when I’m starting to see consistent improvement from Liam week in and week out

  11. I think next year people might be owing Liam an apology same way as for AJ… maybe it takes 3 years for an Olineman to develop fully…

  12. Ogbah rated higher than Phillips so everything is gonna be okay… These grades are always so wonky
