1. I’m depressed, so I’ll choose to take this as a shot at the Oilers.

2. Hopefully, this is a learning lesson for the team. The Canucks haven’t played a full 60 minutes in weeks and tonight it cost them. They played really well in the last 5 to 10 minutes of the game. The issue was that for the previous 50 to 55 minutes, they were sleepwalking through the rest of the game. Hopefully the Canucks use these next couple of games to do some soul searching here because the team needs to get back to what they were doing at the beginning of the season.

3. If you can’t take an easy 2 points then have fun trying to get 2 points when it matters. We aren’t that far ahead.

4. Tocchet – this is a learning lesson for you. Start your rested player regardless of the message you’re attempting to send.

5. getting pretty clear how defensively weak this team is without Soucy or Suter in the lineup. We all know Myers can only be effective with sheltered minutes. Pushing his minutes up with Soucy out has seriously exposed the holes in the defense.
