We lost that game in the first 30 seconds of the 3rd period. You can’t let Granlund walk through your entire top line + top pairing.

  1. That penalty by Myers was one of the dumbest things I’ve ever seen, high sticks the guy on the faceoff immediately after a goal

  2. Beauvillier should be out for Kuzmenko next game. At some point you need to produce especially if you don’t really bring anything else to the game, and at least Kuzy has proven he can score.

  3. Losing to the worst team in the entire league is embarrassing. Why wasn’t Kuzmenko in? Did he expect to grind out another defensive game with the bottom 6 chipping in lol. This should’ve been a 8-1 beat down for the Canucks.

  4. watching the true chaos giraffe in person was a treat. in the 10-1 win i dont remember really paying attention to him at all.

  5. I can’t believe the amount of gas-lighting that people do around Myers.

Myers struggles to make an outlet pass. He is a deer in headlights when he gets pressured. I am convinced in all my years watching hockey that people just think of “good defensive players” as just players who only defend because they can’t get the puck out of their own zone.

  6. Not worthy of its own topic so I’ll just throw this here:

Looking at +/- (which I know a lot of people shit on, but I think it’s a very useful stat when comparing players on your own team):

Quinn Hughes is a +18 which is remarkable. He plays with Hronek (+13) and obviously the 2 of them benefit from playing together.

After them you have JT Miller (+10). He’s played great at both ends of the ice all season.

But then after them you have 2 guys that stand out: Sam Lafferty and Nils Hoglander (+10 and +11).

Kudo’s to Lafferty. Trading for him was a great use of a 5th round pick.

…but huge kudo’s to Hoglander who has previously looked completely lost in his own end of the ice. He now has 7 goals on the season with limited ice time, and is also top 5 in +/-

We only have 1 minus player on the entire team: Noah Juulsen at -5.

C’mon. Noah, please get your shit together. Some point soon you are going to lose what may be your last NHL shot to someone like Jet Woo.

  7. Good to see Juulsen have another solid game. I thought he looked very solid last night
