I was just reading an article about Jones not really stepping into the leadership role he has claimed to want, and many people were asking what he contributed off ice. Which whatever, this post is not about Jones…
It got me thinking of this tweet,

I wonder if this was an unofficial goodbye, a way to tell the kid to keep doing what he’s doing and that this time on the ice is important. I hope Perry is alright, and I miss his presence to contrast Foligno, but moreso I think he did/was doing what he came here to do.

I think you’re reading WAY too much into that Tuesday post-practice tweet. Perry was at morning skate on Wednesday. He was at the arena Wednesday night. Tuesday post-practice wasn’t a good-bye. Something came to light on Wednesday that the Blackhawks deemed worthy of scratching him. What that is is TBD.
