I’m a graphic designer & I’m designing a new jersey concept for all 30 teams inspired by a musician from that city. Here’s my Earth, Wind & Fire-inspired jersey for the Bulls

Honestly, choosing the musician for Chicago was probably one of the most difficult of this entire series. I knew I wasn’t going to do a Kanye or Chance concept, since there are so many of those floating around already. But I was also down the rabbit hole into choosing Common, Muddy Waters, Wilco, Smashing Pumpkins, Ramsey Lewis, Herbie Hancock, Sam Cooke, etc. — but I eventually said “just choose one!” and landed on EWF!
The details on this one are throughout all of their discography (wordmark made custom inspired by their early logos, pyramids above jocktag inspired cover of Spirit, detail behind wordmark inspired by Gratitude album, etc.) — and then tried to make it feel true to the Bulls with a pinstripe and classic collar/cuffs.

I really like the wordmark used! I didn’t get the “clouds” until I googled your inspiration. But then again EWF was a little before my time. Smashing Pumpkins, Twista and Do Or Die all were more my era of Chicago music.
Damn dude lemme see your Yankee Hotel Foxtrot Bulls uni though gimme them ‘cobs.
Should’ve been buddy guy, it’s a blues city
You forgot the huge Motorola logo
It’s pretty bad but still better than most city unis from Nike
