  1. The article points out plenty of valid issues but saying the 2021 draft was bad is actually crazy.

    Edit: idk about calling Bryce Callahan and Matt Feiler “misses” in FA either. Callahan was good for cheap, and we got one very good year out of Feiler

    This one line is thrown in their pretty casually but it holds more weight than the rest of the article makes it seem: ” I don’t think any one decision that Telesco (and Staley, for his influence in these decisions) made has been particularly egregious.”

    That’s pretty much how I feel. I have a hard time actually identifying what went wrong from a process standpoint. Just seems like everything is collapsing all at once and the results aren’t there. Between bad injury luck, bad coaching, legitimate player regression, and poor player evaluation, it’s just hard to know where to place blame. But the bottom line is it’s not good enough and time to reset.

  2. Whatever the reset is, three people need to go.

    Tom Telesco, Brandon Staley, John Spanos. Put an actual football person in charge of football operations.
