  4. We’ll see the contract, but in a vacuum I like it. Adding more depth and talent to the pen is a good thing. I’m guessing it’ll be somewhere around a 2/8 to 2/12 deal.

    I’d like to see the reds go after some high ceiling arms as well.

  6. Huge pickup. Not someone that will headline any bullpens, but every bullpen needs a guy like Pagan. Something we really lack

  7. Hopefully they didn’t overpay. I like it if it didn’t cost much because Pagán has proven that his ceiling can be pretty high. However he has been a negative WAR pitcher every year since 2019 leading up to his bounce back season last year.

  9. Not an Ace but a solid #3-4 guys in the rotation. He seems to be consistent and that’s all I’d want from a guy like him.

  10. This is a quality signing I think. He won’t post a 2.99 ERA at GABP but if he can just give us competence in middle-relief it’s a total win.

  12. Looking at his career, it’s a coin flip whether he is below average or rather solid. Here’s to hoping we get him when he’s at his best like last year, 2019 and 2017. Either way, I like seeing life from the front office this off-season.

  14. It’s even better knowing he will be replacing a Derek Law most likely. Need to add quality arms so the bottom of the pen can get better. Sims/Moll/Diaz are our back end guys.
