[Fescoe] Just spoke to a stadium insider I am told its looking more & more likely that both the Royals & Chiefs will be leaving Jackson County. I am told BOTH teams are beyond frustrated w the county at this time. “We’re FUC#ED” is the quote I was given. We’re=Jackson County

To quote the hit FOX teen drama from 2003…. Welcome to Kansas Bitch!

  2. Frustrated with what? That the residents don’t want to foot the bill or is there something else?

  3. So KCMO taxpayers can let someone else pony up $1 billion in up-front costs (with a sweetheart deal siphoning off most of the much-hyped future tax revenues) *and* KC can keep watching games a short drive away? Love that for NKC/Kansas.

RIP to city/county officials’ plans to run for higher office in 202whenever but I can live with that to save ~$1,500+ per man, woman, they/them, or child in Jackson County up front and a bunch more over the years.

  4. Time to move to Johnson county.

Ladies and gentlemen may I present your 2026 Holden Royals and your 2026 Knob Noster Chiefs

  5. Bob Fescoe, the man who I heard on Opening Day say “management has done everything necessary to make the Royals a winner this year.”

    So…yeah….

  6. Chiefs aren’t rocking any boats with a crap ton of upgrades happening to their stadium for the World Cup and I’m doubtful they would need to tie themselves to the Royals in any way.

  7. Lumping the Chiefs in with what the Royals are trying to do is beyond asinine. How would the Chiefs be mad at the county when the county is helping with World Cup renovations? Some accountant that thinks Bob is actually “Legend Bob” told him something so Bob would think he’s cool.

  8. My two cents: The Chiefs will never leave Jackson County/KCMO. The Jackson County, KCMO and State of Missouri will find a way to ensure they stay right where they are (or at least in KCMO). Although bitter now, I think they’ll separate the teams just like the Hunts/Chiefs and Jackson County voters want. Jackson County voters would approve anything for the Chiefs probably 80-20.

The Royals, on the other hand, are more up in the air because the support just isn’t there in KC. Many people simply don’t want a new stadium nor believe there’s a need for one. And, understandably, many are upset at the lack of transparency and fumbling on the Royals’ part (in addition to Jackson County and Frank White’s mess), and don’t want their tax dollars going to a private stadium for a cheap billionaire that refuses to invest in his “Major League” (in name only) club. I think it’s becoming more likely the Royals move to Kansas, if not out of the KC metro entirely. RIP Kansas City Royals, 1969-2032.

  9. Good, go to Kansas. Would be a major upgrade.

Imagine how nice of stadiums would be built in JoCo 🙏

  10. Uhhhh, what’s the proof here?

Honestly, is this guy even trusted in the KC media market at all?

  11. Fescoe is not a reliable source. He’s the kind of person who would say this just to start shit.

  12. Meh, say what you will about Bob Fescoe, he hasn’t gotten ripped on Bud Light Limes and had sex with his interns. So he has that going for him, which is nice.
