Yes, the bats were silent, but starting pitching is killing the Dodgers and as much as I hate to say it, Kershaw is on his way out. The end of a great era and who else to help build the next one with than Ohtani.
At the very least, I think they’re making an effort, and by all reports, a very strong one.

i bet he signs a 2 year or 4 year deal with an out after 2. either way, if the dodgers don’t get him this time, they’ll have another shot in 2 years.

What does that even mean? Are you saying that if the Dodgers make a legitimate effort, but still are not able to sign him, that means they will be contenders in the 2024 playoffs? Seems like a half-baked argument.
