USA TODAY: Eagles vs. 49ers feud: How did NFC powers’ beef get so contentious?

Why does this “beef” seem like it only goes one way? Shouldnt the headlinr read: “Losers Can’t Stop Whining”

Team who was on their third qb of the year thought it would be a good idea not to block for him
It became contentious because their genius head coach blocked the best pass rusher in the league last year with a back.
Does anyone else kind of want the 49ers to have like 400 yds passing, 38:00 time of possession just to have the Birds score 17 in the last 5 minutes and win 31-27 or something like that? The meltdown and the ‘luck’ and all would be glorious.

The one thing that bugs me is nobody talks about the 30 we put up on the defense
Just purdy got hurt and their defense is the best?
I don’t give a fuck about them other than we’re in first place in the conference and a win against them would further cement us at the top. They’re the ones who won’t shut the fuck up about what May have been if only their coach wasn’t such a fuck up and left haas blocked with a back up tight end. When the Seahawks beat us a few years back because clowney knocked Wentz out, we didn’t obsess over the hawks. We hated clowney because of the shitty dirty hit, but we took the loss and moved on. These guys, fans players AND COACHES, which is just mind boggling, have been obsessed with the birds. My prediction is they finally play a complete game and the rest of the league finally sees what we’re capable of and shits their collective pants. 38-13 birds.
Did we talk like this after the Super Bowl? I feel like we didn’t, but I do not live in Philly— it could’ve been a different experience there.

Crazy thing is, before the NFC title game I actually considered the Whiners one of the most respectable franchises in the league but holy shit did my opinion change completely 180. Never witnessed more rent free whining and crying in my entire sport watching life

It’s 98% because Purdy got hurt so early in the nfc championship game.. that shit really hurt them and they’re never gonna get over it until they make a Super Bowl or beat the eagles.

It’s because they’re stupid and listened to ESPN tell them that they were to going to win. They’re weren’t as it was only being said because the national media always denigrates and down plays Philadelphia teams but they believed instead of critically looking at it which would’ve shown they were outclassed. They didn’t understand that they were never going to win that game just like they’re not going to win this game and were embarrassed so the players and fans are deluding themselves with talk of revenge. They have an average game manager at QB, can’t play from behind, can’t win a shootout, have played no one and their strengths play right into what the Eagles want them to do which is to run the ball. In reality, Washington is a tougher matchup as they have good receivers.
They got destroyed in an important game and haven’t stopped bitching about it since. Pretty easy to figure that out, USAtoday
