From Ken Rosenthal: White Sox likely to wait to move Cease until after top free agent starters sign.

Contradicts Morosi’s report from yesterday that talks were starting to heat up and that a deal could happen before winter meetings. I’m starting to get the feeling that the Sox want too much for Cease and a trade isn’t gonna happen this offseason.
Only reason I’d see them waiting would be to see who their divisional rivals end up with and they may need Cease to compete. Otherwise why not take top proscpects now before they’re traded elsewhere. Seems odd to me.
Smart move by a dumb organization. This guys getting hype machined. Somebody is going to get fleeced for sure by the Sox.
Might just be they’re not getting offers they like and pressuring the other teams that they could take as long as possible to get what they want unless the offers get better.

Dodgers may move on if they are pumping the brakes. I can see the possibility of a glasnow/arozarena trade-and Tampa is more than ready to deal.
