What the fuck kind of hateful curse was put on this team, this has to go past just whatever deal with the devil Petry made. I want to stay optimistic but fuck these three I jury ridden seasons have sucked.
For those wondering why Stephens and not Roy:
Roy is pointless in 9 of his last 13 games, including the last 5.
Stephens has been pointless in 7 games *all season* (16 games played).
It’s not about upside. It’s about whoever earned it more with recent play. Stephens is it.
People seems to forget Stephens was a 2nd rounder by TB, went to the WJC twice and has about 70 games in the NHL. That’s about as good a pedigree as the Habs can afford to call up right now. Heineman, Farrell and Andersson are injured. Rest are battered or struggling. There’s no else who can help.
