Since Ohtani requested confidentiality from pursuing teams, I assume any team mentioned in these types of articles have no chance of signing him. GOMS.
Someone may come in and offer something stupid now and just make it finalized. Or all teams are tapped out and he just has to choose what team makes the most sense for him.
